    Why not get 'free food, rooms, concerts and more'? So many people just don't understand the benefits of the 'card'. Too many myths are still out there. Thank You for your experience and truthful information. I'm way older than both you guys and have learned so much from you and cowboy in the last year.

    I always use my players club card at my local casino. I always eat for free and get hotel stays comped. My host is awesome😊

    I ALWAYS use my card, and since I only visit one casino locally I try to plan trips around extra slot points days to maximize my play if I'm going to spend money with them.

    I use my players card at every casino I visit and get lots of free play, free rooms, free food/special invites to private VIP dinners, free concert tickets, plus I also get a lot of invites to fly for free to cities like Reno and Atlantic City. It’s well worth having a players card.

    My buddy refuses to use a card, believes the myths...I use to point him to CS(bak when u were ther Marc)...I send him occasional GS stuff but he wont budge, so I kinda gave up. Also, got my win/loss statement, only down 119$!!! That's a "win!"👍 congrats on all the new subs!🎉🎉

    Always a great tip!! I used to kinda think there was something to card in or card out, but after watching videos from y'all and CS I realize that it's all random. Believe me, we take advantage of our free play and room comps when we can. Still haven't made it to any higher tier, but that'll come with time, we don't get to the casinos as often as we'd like. However we'll be at Choctaw on April 27th.

      Never play for tier status or comps....let that come naturally with the budget you are comfortable spending......as it seems you do!

      @@kevinb4079 Absolutely! Casinos are a form of entertainment for my family, we don't go in with a big bankroll, and if we win that's great, if we lose or break even, hey we had fun!! Now when my wife and I retire in a few years that may change......more travel...LOL!

    Players cards are great!!!! Haven't paid for a room for over 30 years, enjoy comped meals, gifts, and slot play. Yes win/loss statements can make your day. Loss for 2022 for 1 casino almost 30k thru the machines and $199 loss. Made my year, all casinos LV, Laughlin, CA, and AZ less than $4000.

    i refuse to put a dollar into a machine unless my card is in it's the only sure winner in the casino

  • @carlh1964
    @carlh1964 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    If you win a jackpot without your card in the machine you'll need to remember as the win loss statement will not match ? But the casino only report your jackpots.
    Avoid confusion, always use the card.

      @kevinb4079 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Win/loss statements are technically not acceptable proof of losses for IRS for this reason. Still auditors will often accept them. They don't have to though and that has and will be held up in court if someone ends up there.

    My husband and I are gold, up from Silver. Lately, they're giving us $700. to play on and of course, we get an apartment went we go and there's a ton of goodies awaiting. We usually have huge veggie trays, fruit trays, crackers and cheese platters, a lot of homemade pimento cheese, dips, and a giant container of Ruffle potatoe chips! The fridge is stocked with water, all kinds of sodas, and my hubby's favorite beer. We also get $650. to spend retail and 2 free VIP concert tickets if we want them. It's crazy what you get using your player's card! We won't play without them! But you can't just play your player's points and leave. You must spend at least the amount they gave you to even count! Double dip days (end of the month) are awesome. We can get $700. one day and the $700. the next day or day after. We love our resort and wouldn't think of going anywhere else! We usually go every two months. PLAYER'S CARDS PEOPLE! Use them!

      Keep in mind that tier status has little to do with what you get comped. I assure you none of what they are giving is spelled out the gold level tier benefits. Things like free play, gifts etc. are all based on how much you play on a daily average. My guess is you have a significant daily budget.

  • @neilmckie2768
    @neilmckie2768 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I've heard that the MGM Rewards card tiers are based (to some extent) on your average daily bet during a trip. Some people recommend that if you're not going to be playing much in a casino on a particular day, not to use the card as it'll lower the average. Is this a bona fide claim? Just curious - can't see me going to Vegas and NOT gambling, lol. Thanks, guys.

  • @kevinb4079
    @kevinb4079 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    There has to be a specific benefit that you know you will take advantage of to play more to obtain a certain tier level. For example, Caesars Diamond status earns you free valet, resort fees waived and laurel lounge access. If you stay at Caesars it could be worth it to spend a few extra bucks to achieve that tier status IF...you already pay for valet and/or know you are going to have enough resorts waived to make up for that extra play extra. But NEVER do that without understand how it's going to benefit you. Trying to earn a tier status for the sake of having a different color card makes no sense. It's like paying 100's to buy a sash that says "queen for a day"...it's meaningless. Tier status ONLY grants you the benefits for that status. It does not mean you get better comps offers like free play or rooms unless something like that is spelled out in black & white in the tier benefits...It never is though at most casinos.

  • @tkell31
    @tkell31 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Shouldn't need to be said, but if you can go when there are special offers going on you might as well take advantage. Like Caesars does a 5x promo that I try to take advantage of whenever offered. If you can get to 1k tier credits on one of those days you get a bonus 4K, and then another 1K from their base program. Hey, if you are going to play might as well maximize the rewards.

    • @GambleSmart
      @GambleSmart  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well said!

    • @kevinb4079
      @kevinb4079 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Indeed....I just warn that making an extra trip to the casino during these promotions sort of defeats the purpose. You need to plan your visits accordingly so they fall when you intend to be there with your budget. Going to the casino when you didn't plan on doing so just because of the promo is still playing for comps.

    For International travellers only coming occasionally there useless. The points disappear after a year. Never had a comp yet😜

    • @kevinb4079
      @kevinb4079 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sometimes you will get a small amount of free play or other comps that you can use right away for being a new member cardholder. Depends on the casino. It never hurts to ask at the member's card desk if they have any of these promotions.

    I was at a casino last week. Played all Thursday. I was going to be leaving by 11am the next day and was told I shouldn't use my card that morning because it would negatively affect my rating (averaging out my daily play?) Is that correct?

    • @kevinb4079
      @kevinb4079 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It can but it depends a lot on the casino and how they average out your play. Generally speaking the casinos average it per trip and not just daily. So it can depend on if you are there for multiple days or not. Me personally, I don't use any comps or play on the days I'm leaving the casino. But that's only a general rule. This is not just because it could hurt my average, but I found it rarely benefits me to play more. Because I make many such trips over the year, if I do, it shouldn't really hurt my average. My suggestion is whatever you do it's usually best to be consistent. The casinos like consistency with average coin in and use of comps and will generally comp with consistency when that is the case. You start changing things up, so will they.

    Hey Marc/Dave…I use my players card, I’m in Canada, and our comp’s are not near as nice as in the US…However I’ve noticed they have taken away my U SPIN…any idea why? I’m kinda baffled…my husband and I both are on the same tier level…and he still has his…thanks in advance.

    And playing class 2 machines we get less points at Winstar. That's ok. Balance that playing Pinball by the Vienna bar and Top Dollar just behind these, Ainsworth games around the bar outside the Rome non-smoking . These will grow your points. Choctaw I believe gives you the same points on class 2 as playing class 3 machines. Good luck all! GSGS
