FNQ Part 7 - Across the Tablelands

Our winter tour of the far north - Cairns, the Daintree and the Atherton Tablelands, including the western savannah country.
Back in the larger town of Herberton we spent a day sightseeing in the several museums of this old tin-mining town. The Historic Village Museum took up over 4 hours of our time, then we found that the Railway Museum was only open on weekends (not today). We travelled on the single-track alongside the disused Herberton to Atherton rail-line, spent a day seeing some sights in this town, after which we made a a main-highway exit from the Tablelands running quickly out to Mareeba and along the Kennedy Hwy to Kuranda. We found a really pleasant and relaxing campground just out of the town.
