Looks very challenging! We are sad we didnt' get a permit this year to camp there, but we may still go day hike! Your video re inspired us. Thanks for sharing. Looked great.
Those permits are sooo difficult to come by. Beautiful place though. Can definitely do some of it in a day or all of it! It’s a long day but so beautiful! Thanks for your support!
@@BackcountryRenegade It’s possible. We passed three people heading up when we were coming down that were wearing microspikes. I think one may have turned around but it seemed like the other two made it. The boot pack was pretty good although It gets really soft later in the day. I’m not sure how much the crampons were even doing for us. The earlier the better before the warmth of the day sets in. I think having an ice ax is worth it though-would want to be able to self arrest should you slip and fall.
Thanks for the video! It really helps with planning for the hike!
@@epikvic no problem! Glad it helped!!
wow!!! congratulations!!!
Thank you!
How did your knees handle that!? Wow!
😂

@@marriedmountaineers We thought about doing some in a day, or something wild like that. This video was so cool!!
very cool, what kind of boots did you guys use with the crampons?
Thank you! We carried and used our La Sportiva Trangos for use with the crampons. We wore trail runners for most of the day though.
@@marriedmountaineers think microspikes could be sufficient for this time of year or not really ?
