Try this fun 10-min singing lesson as my gift for watching :) www.joinsingr.com/youtube You'll be shocked at your improvement even if you think you have a "bad" voice right now. I used to have a terrible voice (I couldn't sing to save my life when I started), now I'm a professional singer & coach. You CAN learn just like I did and I can show you how! Record yourself singing a phrase to the first song that comes to your mind before & after the lesson so you can compare your improvement (don't worry you're the only one who will hear those lol). Doesn't matter what level you're starting at... You'll be shocked when you listen to yourself after the lesson... see you in the lesson :)

Hi Justin...you need to know this song is on "el mal querer" (the bad love) ....a conceptual album that talks about a toxic relationship.....this song "di mi nombre" (say my name) talks about the sexual encounter when the woman has the power...the lyrics are so erotic.
So, not to discredit your reaction but her style is heavily influenced by Flamenco music, and much of what you said about her are common themes in that genre. It is passionate and captivating. The riffs are effortlessly thrown in. Often, live flamenco performances are improvised (although many are not). In traditional Flamenco, there is the singer, the guitarist and the palmeras (the people who clap along, very important). As it is only her and the guitarist, she is also assuming the role of the palmera. That is why she is so focused on the guitarist. She isn’t cueing him, he’s cueing her.
You should react to her performance of "CATALINA" in Honda Stage at Billboard's Women. Its absolutely amazing her voice and presence. I really like your videos, greetings from Argentina !

She is so freakn incredible!!! It is captivating. My ten year old son even said he can like listen to her all day... ten year old Puerto Rican hyper boy. This chick is the real deal.
You mentioned that you were wondering if Rosalía was cueing with the guitar...you might want to check out some of those who have been her inspiration, to see how to some extent, she emulates them, particularly the late flamenco singer or "cantaor", Camarón de la Isla, often accompanied on the guitar by the late Paco de Lucía and later, by his longtime sidekick, Tomatito. Camarón was very innovative for his time, (unfortunately he passed away not long after Freddie Mercury left us) and Rosalía, without a doubt, is obviously very innovative. Thanks! (Oh yeah, also check out Estrella Morente)

Thanks for your reaction!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻 I absolutely agree with you!!! She is unique and talented ARTIST. And her lyrics are always connect with the way she uses resources, styles, her voice.. La Rosalía makes ART!! 🥰
Great reaction ! ... I have been recommending the reaction to this performance for a long time and nobody paid attention to me but you have done it , bravo !! Thanks
Justin a lot of the songs that people have mentioned are great but I'd like you to hear her live ...De Plata en directo Sevilla...you I think will appreciate the artistic and passionate way that Rosalia sings this ...PS great reaccion to her talent.
I'm not surprised that you fell in love of her style, because she's definitely unique. And I'm convinced that that's her main attractive, her charisma, as you said, because there's millions of singers who has a lot of technique but aren't able to express any emotion. I admire her a lot, also, because she's not only singer, which she masters, but dancer, composer and producer and studied the degree of flamenco in a conservatory. By the way, I'll take your free 15 minutes lesson, since one of my goals is to improve my way of singing. Thanks for the chance!!! 😊 ❤❤ Greetings from Spain

Let me explain about her staring at the guitar. In Spain Flamenco music done in the Buleria style is God. That dominates Spaniards souls like a deep trance. That music is not just heard, but felt. If when you sing Bulerias which is the most animated and deep hearted way to sing Flamenco music many make the illusion that they are crying. The more you simulate crying and strong emotions, the more Spaniards love it. She is looking at the guitar very seriously because it's like a portal that brings to life Spain's passion. So, she is showing respect and surrender to the power of the music by staring at the guitar with deep profound attention. She has the heart of a true Gypsy, even though she was born in the northeast of Spain and the hardcore Gypsys that invented this music are from the southwest of Spain, Rosalia embodies what becoming Flamenco really is. Ole !!!!
Hi Justin! Rosalia possesses a unique gift, she does not simply sing, she maximizes the potential of her voice. While the style of singing Flamenco and Rumba has existed for centuries in Spain (where she's from), a legacy from the Moorish period of Spain's history and quite typical in the southern parts of Spain....Rosalia 's style is a fusion of the old and modern Flamenco and Rumba (not to be confused with Latin Rumba nor the American version Rhumba). I have to say too that you have a fantastic voice ! I also think that musically, you've got good analytical viewpoints and also very effective as a vocal coach. I enjoyed your video very much and will listen to your music and subscribe to your channel as well 😊

That is true but I lived in Spain for 3 years and her effortless-ness, charisma, hard work and whole package is unquestionably special.
Normally in Flamenco the singer is always the one leading. The guitar is there to accompany, not be the leading instrument.
Well damn she i brilliant
