Caterham Grads 150 Championship Thruxton Race 1 (2nd place)

Got a setup I was happy with. (Credit to Aly Barney for that!) with and got off the line well. As I have done so many times this year I buzzed the engine by an incorrect gear change, this time hitting 2nd instead of 4th, how I haven’t destroyed it I don’t know.
The car felt great and I could pretty much pick my lines, had a few close shaves, but as usual it came down to the last lap. I knew Harry Senior was carrying an intermittent problem and needed a tow to make any progress. On the last lap as we were going down to Church he was so slow, I needed to brake to stay behind him, but wanted to be absolutely sure I didn’t give him a tow down to the complex. I basically over-thought it and we were both so slow that although passing Harry wasn’t an issue, we both provided a double tow to Amanda, who I hadn’t even spotted. In summary, I grabbed defeat from the jaws of victory, but had a great race.
