That 4W-220 is a lot like the 7580, which is my favorite Allis-Chalmers articulated tractor since it was so nimble, compared to the other brands' related tractors (names not given to protect the less awesome). Thanks for showing it doing its thing and doing it so well.
That's what the "marker" is for. See the long arm that folds out with a disc blade on the end, you run the center of the tractor over that mark on the next pass.
Better take care of that 4W-220. Allis only made 135 of them so they're not all that common. They made an even bigger model called the 4W-305. There was 146 of those produced. Nice Kinze planter by the way.
allis chalmers went out of business in the 80s. they were bought out by duetz.Later, Gleaner combine corp bought out duetz. they formed what is calles AGCO (Allis gleaner corporation). Today they make Massey Fueurgon, Valtra, Fendt, and Challanger tractors.

Very nice Allis ,it all got messed up when they sold out to Deutz.
AC should not have sold out to Deutz as they had really good tractors etc .

Ryan, you are close. Allis bought Gleaner in 1955 but not from the Baldwin brothers. Baldwin brothers sold out years before.
