    Diehard Liverpool fan. Morrison is easily the best player at youth level I’ve ever seen. Joe Cole was mental before his fifa street flair was coached out of him but Morrison was sublime. He did stuff players don’t even dare to dream of doing.
    First team players went to watch their games in numbers, to see him play. Just think about that for a moment.

    Watching this and the video about Nile Ranger one thing they have in common is the absence of a father figure in their lives. Many people succeed in life in the same situation sonits not an excuse but it seems to have had an impact on both players

      They didn't want to spend the money. TLC, comfortable surroundings and stability etc is all he needed. They do it with the foreign talent - throw enough money at the problem, surround him with good people, keep him away from the night life, the problems soon dissipate. What they did was mask the symptoms and make the problem worse in the end with false hope. Ferguson obviously has some guilt about the situation.

    • @dylvasey
      @dylvasey 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +32

      As far as I know every single club he went to provided him with stability and only signed him after he promised to sort himself out. He always failed within days and it was always because his ''friends'' from Manchester followed him everywhere. To compound things he very rarely showed up for training, even when with England. Look at guys like Antonio Cassano, Hatem Ben Arfa, Ricardo Quaresma, Gazza and Mario Ballotelli just to name a few. Even Adel Taarabt played a season for Milan and three for Benfica in spite of being considered a complete write off for about half a decade leading up to that. Ravel Morrison had more potential than anyone his age

    • @rickenfatania
      @rickenfatania 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@OffThePostYT I agree, Ravel Morrison/ Pogba/ Scholes has more legs than any midfield in EPL history.
      After he was sold, Pogba was in his prime as an explosive box-to-box/ centre-mid - as was Vidal (who wasn't as good as a young Ravel imo).
      Scholes was also playing deeper as his career went on. Against Barca he scored the winner that got us to the final in Moscow. We wouldn't have lost two CL finals in (the next) three seasons if we had that trio.
      Ronaldo might have stayed at least until Ferguson retired - he'd have 3 or 4 Champions Leagues Winners Medals.
      Plus if United hadn't sold Pique, they could have played him with Ferdinand and Vidic in a back three (like the Juventus system Pogba and Evra played in). Hargreaves, Carrick or Fletcher can help Scholes anchor the midfield.
      THEN you've got Rooney/Tevez/Ronaldo/Giggs/ Park and Berbatov in the attacking rotation. It would have been absolutely frightening for any defense - Busquets, Abidal, Alves and Xavi wouldn't have coped! Tiki-Taka would have simply capitulated with a counter-attack at that speed. They can play possesion all they want - on stray sideways pass and they concede.
      The players United had spare, sold or injured in that era were ridiculous (especially compared to now). If G.Nev wasn't injured, he'd be a regular starter. Ronaldo's 38 and was our top scorer last season. We never replaced his goals (both times he left). We had to pay a world record fee to get Pogback - only to loose him again - on a free - to Juventus. Johnny Evans was also deemed surplus to requirements back then. Now in his mid 30s, having re-signed as a free agent because LEICESTER released him, he's our best CB 😑
      Never mind beating Barca, we're not even playing Barca anytime soon and they're in the Europa League half the time!
