The GOAT, undefeated doesn’t = GOAT status, losing and coming back definitely helps the case of George, what a fighter, what a legend. What a human being!! Love Bisping as an Englishman, that was a brilliant interview, nothing but the best to both men, both absolute legends!

One of my all time favourite MMA fights was Bisping vs GSP. It had everything on display, striking, wrestling and bjj. I think in that fight Bisping showed how good he really was the way he was slicing up GSP from the bottom with elbows like nobody has ever done to him. The only person to ever make GSP regret going to the ground. Amazing fight.
That card was mental. Every champion lost their belt that night.
Plus Michael had super fucked up ribs which was extremely unfortunate

@@gmb7200 While GSP had stomach issues and was crapping straight up blood! Only say this to point out most fights Fighters have health issues. More times than not we never hear about them. Like Bisping and GSP who are both warriors, never said anything till after the fight. GSP right after as his DR's wanted him to pull out about a week before but he stayed the course. While Bisping didn't say anything till he was retired. Same goes for the eye. These are two of my Fav fighters, always class and are two of the very best ambassadors of the sport! Both also carried the sport of MMA on their backs to become recognized, legit and huge in their home countries! Champions, Warriors and Gentleman they Both Are!!

GSP’s refusal to enter the UFC again due to being past his prime AND because he understands the bodily danger is so admirable because you already know they’d offer him a ton of money to be back in the octagon.
Made me smile so wide when GSP offered to train with Bisping for the grappling, Bisping lit right up.

What a great interview! It's obvious these guys have not just enormous respect for each other (Michael was not shy about sharing his loss to GSP here and GSP, in another interview, stated that Michael Bisping was the toughest guy he ever fought) but genuine affection.
It's great to see the unique bond of former combatants. Bit like (albeit fictional) Rocky and Apollo Creed in Rocky 3/4.
I love how excited they got with the "what happened in Manchester stays in Manchester" thing. 😄😆😂😂 Now I really wanna know what happened in Manchester.
Both these guys have done very well after their UFC careers to build their brand and continue success.
Thanks so much for posting this Mike! I got into MMA as a fan around 2005/2006 and feel privileged to have watched and followed both you and George while you both were in your prime. So many great memories. Cheers to you both!

OMG seeing Bisping compete again at any form of martial arts would be awesome. Great show this as well. Literally my two all time favorite fighters together. To see them grappling and competing again, win lose or draw would just be awesome! Bisping is said to be a really strong grappler, chael sonnen said he was a real handful when they did a grappling match once.

I’ve been an MMA fan since the beginning. This is a great idea. Adds a heart to the sport and or the UFC. GSP, Michael Bisping and all the heros from the past shouldn’t be disposable. This is a great idea. I’m looking forward to the December match. 🙏

That would be a sick card if it was GSP v Diaz and Bisping v Silva. So nice to see GSP giving Bisping the opportunity and encouragement. Bisping seems genuinely excited and touched by the offer to train together.
GSP is one of the most humble, generous and genuine persons who you can ever meet that is a celebrity, champion, sports athlete.
I got to do seminars with GSP, Anderson Silva, Dillashaw, Rashad Evans. Out of all of them, he radiated the most positivity and patience as a trainer and as a person. I can’t say enough good things about the guy.
Amazing opportunities taken with those seminars, fair play!

I love how it started off a normal interview then quickly escalated into GSP talking Mike into a grappling competition.

This was a surprisingly philosophical and wholesome discussion.
GSP embodies the true philosophy of martial arts. A fierce competitor and fighter but such a happy and positive/nice person. I've met him and this is how he is in real life, he'll talk to anyone and treat you like a friend.
I saw a rush or wave of excitement go through your body Bisping when he said u should compete again, you should do it. Whether it is Anderson Silva, Rockhold trilogy, UFC active fighter like GM3 or any active grappler like Vagner Rocha. It would be so awesome to watch on the same card of GSP!

HO-LEE-SHIT! If GSP and Bisping are on a grappling card together I'd be all the way in for that. Two absolute legends, great guys and total badasses. Fight Pass grappling would explode with these guys on the card. Love it.
Mike is such an inspiration, like he says about his acting, he constantly puts himself in challenging places to better himself. He needs to constantly challenge himself to grow and that is so commendable and something we can all learn from.
