Played my second round yesterday. The phrase that comes to mind is "If you want to know, you've got to go". I think the place is magical. The entrance, the knowledgeable people there, the course, the art. Been playing for many decades around St Louis, Jefferson Barracks was home for years, now it's Carrolton. Been appreciating Logan College also. But Eagles Crossing is an elevated level of enjoyment. It isn't about the score, it's about the woods, the grass, some water, and most of all the flight of a well thrown disc. OK, a good score is also pretty cool. Looking forward to my next round, the train wreck has got me twice, it must be tamed.
What year you guys gonna host worlds? I wanna book my stay soon as possible!!!!! ❤
Best course in the world? Infrastructure-wise, I might agree. Never have I seen a course so devoted to disc golf, with so much attention paid to detail and amenities. Layout-wise, however, I thought it was too heavy on RHBH/LHFH shot shapes from the tees. Started to seem repetitive after a while. Needs a better mixture of required shot shapea, IMO. That said, I’m only 3 hours away from Eagles Crossing and will definitely give it another shot. If you’ve never played EC, it’s definitely worth the price of admission to experience the course in person.
Way better then mapel hill
It is beautiful….but would never spend $40 or more to play this sport. I understand that costed millions of dollars to make this course, but that does Not mean we should have to pay the big fee. It was up to the builder and owner to spend the $$$$. To the average disc golfer, I think this course would be a rude awakening on how hard it is. Don’t get me wrong it is awesome, but I would rather play a course that I would have a chance with with STILL beautiful views!
