    Gene can you PLEASE do a video on tournament breakdown?! Pre tournament/rigging, then on the water practice, then the tournament or something similar PLEASE?! I'm new to tournament fishing and you always have such great detailed videos and think there'd be a lot of guys who'd enjoy that video! and ALSO do a video on those GARMIN's!!! how you like them and how you setup and use them out on the water and how you're interpreting the Side Imaging!!!

    Gene, been in Afghanistan deployed, before I left caught the fishing bug and watched your channel religiously. You gave me confidence and techniques, when I get back I'll be getting a boat going fishing rocking the Georgia G (Georgia boy myself) really appreciate your videos.

    Your reasoning for buying aluminum is exactly why I ordered my 198p earlier this year. After spending four months with it I will probably never go back to fiberglass. You were absolutely spot on with the daily cost to run. Thank you.

    Very slick boat and I think you will love the Garmins. After 20+ years using Lowrance I got a Garmin and will never go back. Thanks for the tour.

    The boat show came to my town here in central Illinois last weekend and I bought my first brand new boat. I’ve always had Trackers, and they were always used when I purchased them. Just last Saturday like I said I bought my first new one, 2018 RT 178 ranger. I pick it up Friday, and Friday cannot come quick enough LOL. Anyway love your videos, you are a true inspiration, and I have learned a lot from you Gene... thanks for everything you do! A true fan!

    I understand you on the aluminum vs. fiberglass boats. We have a 2017 Skeeter and it eats up a lot of our money. I really like it because it is the perfect beginner tournament bass boat. Good job Gene.

    Hey Gene. Mine arrived today. Just waiting for the rigging of the motor and electronics etc. But so far it looks amazing. Thank you for helping me make this choice. It was cool meeting you at the Classic in SC. Hope we can meet again sometime to share some Alumacraft stories

    Thank you for the tour of your new Alumacraft Pro 185. Please recommend to the manufacturer that they make every hatch handle the "T" type. The finger hook type does not provide enough grip area when the carpet is tight around the opening.
    If you ever get up to the Twin Cities area I will gladly provide room and board. If we go fishing you may laugh at my skills so hard you fall in.
    Thank you for the wonderful example you set by your caring attitude towards others.

    Boat looks great! Crazy enough when it was time for me to look for another boat I was dead set on fiberglass
    After watching(endless number) of videos you produced, you changed my mind and is why I now have an all aluminium boat. Very much like yours but starts with an "L" 195. Love it!!! Thanks for all the great content.

    @lancehenthorn17 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Gene I'm a newer subscriber to the channel and must say great video's. I want to say thank you for supporting that military related organization. I'm a disabled veteran and your support means allot.
    I'm really glad you touched on college and high school fishing. My son is in 7th grade and a member of his school fishing team here in Alabama. He is fishing the ASABFA and the BASS ALABAMA Tournament Trail. They might even fish the BASS National Qualifier and/or FLW/TBF National Qualifier if close enough. He would have to do the BASS jr being 7th grade. One thing that good for him and me is lake Guntersville is only 15 minutes away!
    As for your new boat I must say I like it. My son and I are fishing out a 97 TX175 Sea Nymph with a 60 Evinrude. The boat works but really want one like yours. Mines not as stable. you mentioned in a past post the stability of your red boat was good and I'm sure the new on is just as good. Sorry for the long post!

    I have that same boat only 2013, glad Alumacraft is taking some advice from you as a fisherman. One suggestion I would comment on Gene is having them add an aeration pump to the system as well.
    I prefer not to cycle warm water in throughout the day and treat the initial fill. I added one to mine. Nice video.

    • @Flukemaster
      @Flukemaster  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Mark&Cathy That was one of the things that I suggested. I forgot to check and see if they did it.

    I wanted a nice fiberglass boat but couldn't afford one. I purchased an aluminum one and couldn't be happier. Your absolutely right it's so cheap to own compared to my buddies glass boats. Easy to tow, easy on gas, and still does everything theirs does except they are faster. The only downside is I do get blown around a little more in the wind so I'm on the trolling motor more.

    • @Flukemaster
      @Flukemaster  7 ปีที่แล้ว

    great boat! got an aluminum Lowe stinger 185 for some of the same reasons as well. I can haul it with my Subaru Outback 3.6R with no problem which I still get around 19mpg in tow as well. it would be nice to get one of those as it has some features my 07' doesn't. I would love to have DRY STORAGE! keep up the great vids, I've been learning from you for at least a couple years now. definitely made me a much better angler and I am very grateful for that. glad its funding your dream job!

    Great looking boat Fluke! I down sized myself to a Wilderness Systems ATAK 140 kayak since I live in Commifornia and the cost to do anything fun is outrageous. Kayak fishing is not charge extra fees like licensing, launch fees and limited speeds (crazy). Your 115 HP motor would be limited to 30mph on most of our local lakes. Anyhow, keep up the great work and helpful tips and good luck with your new boat.

    If you are a fishing guide and you buy an Alumacraft boat the warranty goes from a 10 year warranty to a 1 year warranty. You would think a company who claims to know anglers would not cut fishing guides warranty’s. This is not just about me but any guide or angler who uses this product. There are tons of great company’s out there who understand the angler. Support them !

    I still fish out of a 1985 Alumacraft Maverick. With the Johnson 40Hp that came with it. I gutted it last year and restored the whole boat. Restored the trailer too. 2 New Garmin 7sv vivid fish finders. New 55 lb motor guide trolling motor. And a wrap on it too. New boats prices have gotten out of control.

    Great video! The only thing I think you missed is that buying a boat does not end the financial burden it only begins it ... outside of just fuel cost you are looking at maintenance costs every year at least plus the inevitability that something will go wrong and fixing it is expensive ! winterization if you live up north is minimum $500 every year and shrink wrapping it adds to that total plus storage is crazy even without climate control and all that good stuff ! I live in Maryland and own a 19' center console and I spend a couple grand every year just doing basic maintenance ! You have to LOVE to fish to buy a boat, which I do, because if you don't it will eat your bank account alive for nothing ! So buyers beware when people say the best days ownjng a boat are the day you buy it and the day you sell it they are speaking the truth !

    Hey Gene so LOWE, LUND, RANGER AND BASS TRACKER all pretty much have the same boats, imo anyway.. I currently own 2015 bass tracker TXW and honestly I like the boat but the build quality is horrible. I was tossing back and forth about getting a glass boat but honestly I couldn't agree with you more on the trailering and the gas consumption. I was on a big lake for over a week and still came home with 1/4 a tank. Now just have to go do my own walk through of the other 4 manufacturers I mentioned earlier. Thanks for the videos sir keep them coming

    Nice boat Gene! I wish Minn kota brought out that trolling motor last year when I bought mine. I see you didn't get the hydro-wave on this one.
