excellent tour! thanks, Brandon. all of your videos are great and are helping me to plan a “perfect day” for my family so we won’t have to waste time going to places that aren’t the best fit for us! the island is big and a bit overwhelming so it’s really helpful to know these ins and outs. we want to snorkel, we have passes to the water park and will also want pool time. your video on the different spots around the pool is also fantastic! thanks to you I may be able to plan a day that gets us time at all three with no “wish we knew…”

The first beach (a bit of a walk to the water but with the view of the ships) was the original location for the Chill Island Cabanas. SO happy they moved them. Love the new south beach, thanks for the tours!
Thanks Denise! Glad you enjoyed the videos and agreed on moving those Cabanas! Makes a lot more sense! The first beach is a bit awkward. I would bet money that one day they will turn this into a revenue generating area of some kind.
Thanks Nick! Saw your previous comment - South Beach opened the weekend after I filmed this tour. Luckily, I was there too and was able to film the opening of South Beach as a stand-alone video and decided to post it first to be timely. Things change quickly at CocoCay!
@@TheWeekendCruiser quick question, have you noticed if the floating bar is usually more packed at the south beach floating bar or the one in chill island?
@@nickcharlesbrown I believe I misspoke when I filmed this. There is only one floating bar and it is now at South Beach. I hadn’t been to Chill Island that day to know they moved it and thought they had a 2nd one at South Beach (which they should have two!). It is much more crowded at South Beach than it was at Chill Island.

Brandon- to follow-on my last comment- it would be great to hear your suggestions on how to plan a day a CoCo Cay. As I mentioned, I’ve never been and we’re interested in at least 3 activities: water park, snorkel with our own gear and maybe chill pool time. We usually get an early start to the day. What should we do first and why, etc.
That is a really awesome video idea!!! I like it a lot! To answer your question, do the water park first thing in the morning. It will have less people and if you do the slides 2 or 3 times, you need energy to make it up 10 flights of stairs. Snorkeling is also better towards the end of the day (post 4pm) as that is when you will see more fish/sting-rays/nerf sharks. Oasis lagoon is great but would stay away after 1pm as the pool turns into a dance party. Beach is amazing at any time during the day. Hope this helps!
Hello thank you for your video,,,, I do need your advise please,, I’m using a scooter from the ship to the island ,,,do you suggest a beach or staying at the lagoon pool ? I need easy driving access with the scooter which I am assuming there are hard surfaces to drive on ?? It can’t be all sand ,, ,, I can walk little ,,,, so if you were driving a scooter and you could only walk a little bit where would you spend the day ???? can you bring your own floating raft ? Thank you thank you thank you it’s greatly appreciate it
Hey Karen! I'm excited for your trip! The easiest option will the the Oasis Lagoon as you can pull right up to a chair. 2 options to get in the water: if you are at the entrance, it is a gradually slope or if by the bar their are proper stairs to go down. The hard surface area does run along the outside if Harbor Beach and would be the most accessible beach but has a decent slope. I would go early, get a good front row seat at the pool and then explore to see what else is out there. Sand chairs are also available if that interest you.

We are renting a cabana & need advise on which are to do so. Chill or South Beach? Are you aware if there are wheelchairs available at both areas? I've been there once w/ my daughter so I'm familiar with the island but now it's different having my Mom w/ needs like this. Also nearby bathrooms are necessary for her. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!!
I would say go to South Beach. It has everything in a short distance. Take the trolleys to South Beach and they should have some beach wheel chairs when you get there. Hope y'all have a blast!

Hey J! There are two volleyball courts. you have already spotted the first at South Beach and the other is at the Sports Area behind the Oasis Lagoon and in front of the overwater cabanas.
There are a lot of factors to that... 1) are you good comfortable with the price? It will be at least $100 per person 2) do you have kids who want to use the water park or pool 3) do you think you would be happy sitting by a beach 100 feet away in a slightly not as comfortable chair? I do the beach club seldom because I just don't see the value all the time. For me, it is more a special occasion place where I will go with a group of friends for a celebration.

For that age range, I would plan early and try to get one of the day beds at the Water Park. Either there or South Beach. Not sure how a family of 5 is treated but I assume they are reasonable people lol
My fave is Cove Beach. It is just perfectly quiet and relaxing. (and "hidden!")

Hey Brianne, they moved the floating bar to South Beach when it opened. This video was shot the week before it opened I believe.
