I like this game it shows us you are human and that you are a viable to lose many youtubers just shows matches they win I appreciate to see those types of games as well
Wow, first time I ever saw Dylan play a game more like one we see fairly commonly - 1 player just wrecks the table! (And even more surprising that it wasn’t the Catan Pro doing the wrecking)
11 rolling twice early should be a big warning sign. Trading the settlement+port for the city with Black seems worth but it makes you a big target and Black becomes so flexible.
With his setup, he can city easily. He should always prioritize getting a sheep trade and settling the 3:1 before building that city. And he should certainly not trade his brick away for the city.
First road placement was fine since you needed to get to that 3+11 quick, but the second road placement was hanging. I don't think the plow from red was much of a threat since his 3-1 on the 5 was objectively a better settle spot, and the road building could open two settle spots for you on the 9+2 and 8 brick (not the best, but it's something actionable). Great game though man, love seeing the victories and the defeats, makes for an entertaining watch not knowing what happens in the end.
At 9:01, could you ever drop a road from the 3-11 spot to the left, just to make sure you don't get plowed by green? Or offer 2 for 1 for a sheep? Feels like spending a road to reach the 3:1 port put you behind on tempo.
why is red placing 5,10 on left side? going right side would allow for the same expansion to the ore port on 5 ore but blocks blue from getting 3:1 port...
Green took the wrong spot... Should have allways been 4 8 so you get the 6 5 10... He gets crazy trade value and flexibility, you get the roads and the cities, but you get the major target...
Don't overestimate getting plowed. Yes it will happen and can ruin your game. But snowballing is far more important. Get on the board. I love how you play in the last episodes with less focus on Dev Cards. I don't know how many times i screamed as you threw away a certain victory just to pop 3 times.
If black is a semi-decent player, the mono is an instant win card with their setup. The early city was not good, but it wouldn't have made a difference at the end.
Is there a way you can make it so the right side of the screen isn’t cut off? Not a big deal I’m just a little ocd lmao
I absolutely LOLed at that amazing chat @0:07! What a way to start a game of Catan 😂
16:35 "I think Black is actually not doing as good any more."
This statement didn't age well. Actually it was dismantled after only 7 seconds.
Mono be like
0:08 "I'll answer that question later"
Nice, good job as always my friend ☦
His answer was so genuine too, you gotta respect it
My mid pre life crisis came when ceasar decendet down on gaull. Afterlife is about as usefull fruit for thought as thinking about before life 😅.

I really think we learn just as much from your losses as your wins - thanks for posting again!
Been loving this surge in content, I always learn something that makes me appreciate the depth of Catan
Dylan post?? Great day 😃
Hi Dylan, really glad to see you posting more, and props for sharing an interesting loss
While the rolls were really rough, I like how you did hone in on the few things yuou could've improved this game. Love to see it! great vid!
Brutal plow on that 3/11. Glad you're back!

you should be blocking with that extra road between 3-11 everytime early no?
That's what I was thinking. Once you have that, you can take your sweet time to build the settlement.
Brutal one sided game. Still loving the content

As soon as black used CHAT to inquire about the brick, I knew he was being sus and plowing was a real possibility
Im happy to see you posting again :) But don't burn yourself out trying to cater for us

why is video cut on the right side? I think this series is all like this
Black was crazy
8/10/3 is a must pick in first
thanks for posting a lose. this is what happens to me when i play
This is the kind of boards that contribute to the statistics that first pick is least likely to win.
It isn’t, 4th position is the worst statistically speaking
Green took the wrong spot... Should have allways been 4 8 so you get the 6 5 10... He gets crazy trade value and flexibility, you get the roads and the cities, but you get the major target...
why not 8 3 4 point right?
Someone would take the 8-10 port
And what value would the extra wheat offer when he is likely to pick up more wheat with his 2nd settlement?
Not much you can do against black there, they got crazy lucky to close it out fast. 3 devs and they are mono, vp, rb…can’t beat that.
Black destroyer

you talk about balancing the game. Well here's your comment for your loss. Thanks!
Can you improve ur mic quality. You sound like you work at BK
Sup
Once City cost u the game damn

3/8/10 was just a bad pick, gets targeted all game and you get extorted for all your brick… also it’s just bad production…never the pick on my opinion
Personally i would like it more if u would count the positions u had an not the wins and loses
