Ryan's becoming a wonderful father, slowly but surely.
That's clear; he loves Nancy and doesn't want to stop.
She took time to figure it out, but once she allowed him into her life, he jumped right in and took it at her pace.
Ryan clearly sees Lucy within Nancy.
