Aww, what a sweetie. And one day, she'll surely grow into her legs.
I love how foals are like 90% legs, 10% tiny horse on top...
Yeah, those were some crazy long legs!
❤
❤
When do foals get their first shoes???
I love how the other horses in the stable are so interested to see the new baby.
Me too
That is the sweetest thing to see!
Yea they where making sure it wasn't there baby, child support is high
"Ooh, that's what you look like! We've been smelling you here since you were born, but it's nice to see how much you got your mother's good looks, sweetie!"
I thought that was cool too
Every horse in the stable was so eager to see the new kid on the block
Amazing .... 5 days old and that much comprehension & ability ..... just incredible!
A 5 MONTH old human still has a long way to go in terms of development. And at 5 months, this filly will be getting weaned. 👶Superior species? I think not!
She's as energetic as me at 8 years old.
So much better than a human

Mum's tail is amazing.
I know nothing about horses, but 5 days old! Prancing along, saying hello, what a beautiful little sight she is❤❤❤
I know nothing about horses, but the way the mare trots is a thing of beauty.
Friesan horses are noted for their extremely high, showy action. This momma? She's got it in spades.
SHE LOOKS LIKE SHE FLOATS ON AIR!
Good eye, most beautiful trotters.
She does right...very elegant I guessing she does dressage
@@lindatruax3985: I’m sure she rides like it too. Beautiful creatures!
I love how every horse in the stables is completely fascinated with Mathilde.
Especially The ones at the end
YES! it’s almost as if they are saying ‘ah... now I can put a face to the whinnying that I’ve been hearing down the hall....!’
yes I also saw. But then in the mean tie I also understand where I live there are thousands cows (industry)..they take away the babies so we human adults drink there milk. Sometimes cows run after there babaies when human take them away. Its horrbile. since I see this and realize they keep them life time insite... in drink alpro (plantbased) instead of milk.
@@flexiveganc7441
Yeah, if you like to eat beef, the processing of cattle OR dairy milk is something you DON’T want to see!
Where did you think veal comes from?
@@bmell1252 That's why I don't eat red meat and you couldn't pay me enough to eat veal.
Funny, how little Matilda immediately recognises the sandy arena as great footing for running as fast as she can. After the hesitancy over the wet concrete and the bricks, no hesitation at all as soon as she got inside, even though it's the first time she's seen and felt sand as well.

Instinct...
That fact also amazed me.....👍😊🐎💖
❤loved this wonderful video
I could watch this filly all day and do nothing else!
A wise decision of spending a day.
The mother has such a beautiful gait!
Helped rescue a young 19+H Friesian gelding in Alaska. Couldn’t believe the owner was starving it deep in a harsh Alaskan winter. No feed, shelter, water, or minerals. Samson and his mule buddy practically bowed to us in thanks. In about two months they both looked spectacular. Quite an experience.
Wow!
If they can't afford to care for them, sell or give them away, don't starve them. Thank you for saving them.
@@FriesianHorses Hi love how are you today my friend your friendship and WhatsApp plz 🌹🥀🌻🌺🌼 I'm excited for join you plz 🌹🥀🌻🌺 give it a chance
Thank you 😊
Oh my gosh how tragic for these poor innocent animals!! Thank You for helping them 💕 💖
Mom is a protective and smart mare, always around/after baby, and nearby but never obstructing or bossing baby around. It was a joy to watch the little upstart with her mom. She's quite the independent one.
She is smart. She kept running up to the door like, “I know I came in this way.” Beautiful filly.
I was amazed at how quickly she recognized the way they'd come in!
Just beautiful! What a pair of gorgeous mare and filly! Sjierkjie is stunning and little Mathilde is so happy and frisky. It was a treat to watch.
Mathilde is one of my very favorite foals. She is so spunky and bouncy. I think she has springs in those long legs. I got a kick out of the curiosity of all the other horses in the stable as she passed by them.
I like how they both act very happy:)OMG new straw and Mathilde is deciding, nap or nursing, and then changes her mind part way down in the straw...so adorable!
❤
YES Mathilde is feisty as can be,.
So sweet. I never realized how curious horses are, until I saw the older horses being curious about Mathilde. Thank you.
Great that none of the older horses were aggressive👏👏👏👏🐴🐴🐴🐴
Generally speaking, horses are very invested in the lives of foals and seldom harm them! Even wild bachelor stallions rarely hurt foals during mating attempts with mares :)
Вы бы видели насолько любопытны телята, подойдут, обнюхают,попробуют на вкус одежду
Of course! Like most creatures, including humans, they're a community 🥰 We're all curious about new arrivals 😊
Yes, of course. With large animals especially, you need to he able to read them for your own safety. Since they don't speak in words, their body language is important to understand and provides plenty of information if you're watching and listening.
I’ll Say it again!!!She is beautiful and so is her mama. Loved seeing this
So stunning. Magnificent. Mom is so proud. Mom is so attentive.
I love it when all the other horses all put their heads out, shouting hello, little one so pleased to meet you with great interest.
Mathild is Miss Congeniality to all of her Aunties. She seems totally fearless. What a precious girl💖❤💖❤
THANK YOU, YVONNE!!!
I am so thrilled that you reposted this video! I literally FELL IN LOVE little Matilde the first time I saw this in 2020!
She captivated every hores in the stable by visiting them as she left on her first big adventure!
Then she gave her mother a run for the money when she burst into running at break neck speed! What a true joy she was from the beginning!
I'm so thankful that big boss Rein bought her back! It does my old heart good to know I will still see her and I pray she wins all the inspections so that he will breed her. She will produce exceptionally beautiful, sweet natured foals.
If I ever could have bought a horse, it would have been her!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Awh, this made me smile! The curiosity of the stablemates, the unbridled joy of the foal, the mare’s majesty.
I love how the other horses get so excited to see the new foals trot down the stable

Feisty little Matilda is going to keep her momma on her toes. What an absolutely beautiful site.

Catzndolz dont write such a comment in public. We all love the videos- everything Yvonne shows us and no subscriber should be afraid to write because of a single word - or more.
Ann writes something positive and that is what counts.

catzndolz What beautiful site, large clean stalls, friendly neighbors. What a sight watching Matilda stretch her legs and fly. Matilda is going to be a handful for someone, pray they recognize how smart she is and learn from her.
Anyone that can speak English as a second language I admire so much. Many people born in the United States have difficulty with words that sound the same (know-no, there-their-they're, sew-so, weather-whether). I have a problem of when to use who or whom.😊
she's just about a handful now and only 5 days old.
Amazing girl. such joy.
berinlist Great answer!! It’s so true.
@@berinlist Well- said! You included an explanation and a correction at the same time and in a civilized way! English is a rather daunting language, even if one grows up with it. :))
That pretty little thing is a race horse. Has to be first, even at 5 days old. Just beautiful.
Oh my goodness she is the cutest thing. I just love seeing those babies run their little legs off in that arena. It’s so sweet.
Mom is one beautiful lady!
💖💖💖 gorgeous horse
And has gotten her girish figure back so soon😀
Oh my goodness! The other horses sticking their noses out of their stalls to check out the new baby was adorable! Plus, she would go look at them as well!! It was so sweet when she was doubtful about walking across the puddle! So sweet!!
Baby is a doll, but momma has style when she trots.
I was thinking the same thing. That is some seriously beautiful flow!
She looks as though she’s floating! You could probably rest a glass of water on her back and she wouldn’t spill a drop 🙂
yeah! And when they run it's so cute! Momma in back: CHILD?! WTF YOU DOING?! kid: YEE HAW MOMMA!!!! IM THE BOSS NOW!
Great style!
@@Emiliapocalypse 👏💞😊
Always so much fun watching the babies "discovering the big world"🤣😊🥰
I so agree too!❤
Omg, these horses and babies are wonderful
. As is Yvonne and her team, preserving my sanity. Getting together with my two sons and daughters this weekend. Good health and care to all the herd ❤❤❤❤❤ 10:06
Love how she gently encourages her foal to run, while also being protective and aware. That's a great horse-mom!
Kieran... They do encourage new foal to move, run! Most people do not comment on that aspect!
@@lisaaslanis690 I can see that as being part of survival.
That baby is adorable but omg look at mama! What a gorgeous animal! Thank you for this little piece of joy today! 🤗
I agree. I have always thought that Sjirkje was the most beautiful mare ever at Stal G.
Foal walks down the hall.
All adult horses: ow hello, who are you? (Calm and curious)
All the yearling: holy sh*t, there is a new kid in the block! (Overly excited!)
Yes🙂👍
Lol Benedikte 🌸
That's always fun te watch how they react to a new cute foal 😄❤️
Hahahahaah
LMFAO😂 That is the legit truth!
Wow! 5 days old and running for the first time. Incredible ❤
Mathilde is a JOY to watch!
I love how all four of her legs try to go in four different directions.
😁👍
SQ@@benediktekjeldsen7094
Benedikte Kjeldsen That is the cutest description.
Yeah, she doesn't have complete control of her legs yet. But it's not for lack of trying. She's sooooo fast! Scared when she first went outside, but a speed demon as soon as she hit the area. Her brave, independent personality is readily apparent at only 5 days old. Wow!
Mathilde is an adorable little ballerina! My instant favorite, for taking that last joyous little lap before following mama back home. Definitely a filly with style, great feet, and a little bit of attitude.
This is the video that brought me to Friesan Horses. Mathilde is still my favorite girl.
Oh my gosh, indeed. It's breath taking to see the horses love each other. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Sweet Sjirkje and baby Mathilde 🥰 I'm so glad Mathilde is still at Stal G!
She seems very impressed with herself when she started to buck! There is such a very basic joy watching a mare with her new foal running freely side by side. Matilda is so aware of her surroundings. And her muscle definition is so strongly apparent. She will be a leader.
Thank you for this. It is such a joy
Mathilde’s got plenty of self confidence to be only five days old! Pretty little filly! It’s a joy watching them both.
I have loved horses since I can remember. Almost 70 years. Watching these videos makes me happy all over again!
So adorable. I love how this little one flips up her tail up as if running is pure joy!
That behavior with the tail straight up in the air is called flagging all horses do this when they are feeling really excited and happy(most often when running full speed as shown here)it is pure joy for sure.🤩🤩
I love how Mathilde keeps returning to the door. She knows there is a meadow out there! What beautiful creatures! Horses and dogs!
Beautiful horses.....baby is so happy and spunky....mama is very proud and protective of her off spring. Thanks for sharing this. 💖
She is such a little race horse. 🤣 can’t wait to see how she trains. Soooo cute. Funny how all the other horses seem to welcome her. 🦋
She seems like a bold confident filly. Wishing her a good life.
Love this! Thank you for sharing this with us, so sweet! I got to giggling half way through; "best mommy and me Aerobic class everrr!"😂
So beautiful…. Love the way all of the stalled horses came to watch the mare and foal leave and return - horses have a keen sense of community - they seemed to be so proud of the little one…
SO TRUE😍😍😍
They all want to welcome/know the 'new one' Mathilda there its so great 🥰I love this 💖all the best for this young lady and her mum ✨
I love how all the other horses want to say hello to the baby! This is so sweet! :3
Hello, my name is Mathilde and I am so special. Yvonne was having her wear a strap like a saddle cinch belt would be for the first time. She was tied up and did really well considering she has never had anything strapped under her chest like that before. It was very interesting to see her calm down after a short while and she was not spooked by having to wear it. GOOD GIRL MATHILDE❤❤❤❤
Thank you TH-cam Algorithm. I had forgotten how beautiful horses are. The mum reminds me of running next to my baby saying “Slow down”. Pure joy to watch.
Curious and frisky little Mathilde, what a cutie! Especially running alongside her graceful mem, Sjirkje! 😍💓 What a cheerful pair of mare and foal!
Mathilde is such a sweet baby! Watching her prance and run with her mom was a wonderful sight. Looking back over 2 years later, it's hard to believe Mathilde was so tiny. All legs and energy, and already curious about everything around her. Get well soon, Yvonne. Much love from Mountlake Terrace, WA, USA.
How did I miss this video? Such a little firecracker filly she is. Poor mem, trying to stay close. I love how the other horses inspect the new arrivals. Enjoy watching this video very much.💕🐎
Mathilde is kicking up her back legs as she runs. What a treat these videos are😎😎😎
That mom is just like most moms chasing after their little ones! It is hard work. ❤️
Baby Mathilde and this wonderful video were how I found and fell in love with this channel. Thank Yvonne and Mathilde
What a frisky, sassy little thing she was! She has springs for legs and bounces around like a fawn. 🙂
It's beautiful how all the other horses are so interested in seeing the new addition. It's amazing how fast it's running after just 5 days.
So “Totally the other way around with these two!” Is right! Normally the Mare has to lead the foal…not so with Mathilde….sooooo very cute. Love to Yvonne and family xoxo
I can watch and listen to them all day long. There’s no more beautiful horse then a Freesian.
Amazing, 5 days old and already outspeeding her momma, what impressive little creatures.
I love watching the Mommas and the babies in the arena for the first time. They seem so happy and adventurous.
I enjoyed your video on Mathilde and her mutter. I have been watching England's coronation and there were many videos on the Household Horse Guards of the King. Several times the horses of the Horse Guards became independent, and threw their riders off or went running away on their own accord. Often the rider (Royal Horse Guard) could not regain control. I realized that horses are quite independent. They do not just blindly obey their riders. When horses decide to do something on their own humans are too small to be able to control them. Domesticated horses and other equine animals have been doing the heavy lifting for us humans. Without their muscle power we could not have created civilization. Thank you for showing us your beautiful farm in the Nederland and your wonderful animals. I know the Nederland is a relatively small country and land is a scarce resource. It is good to see that farms like yours are still working. Can you plant, grow, and harvest crops from February to October? I am assuming it is too cold and cloudy to farm from November through end of January in Nederland. Is that true?
This is one of my absolute, all time, favorite videos. Mathilde is so adorable jumping and bouncing around and bucking. So cute!! And her mama seems bouncy and happy, playful, and just so sweet. They are just the cutest mommy-daughter pair! Now that Mathilde is bigger, I still always look for her among the herd she's in. I got attached to her, and it all came from this video. Everything about it is so sweet and uplifting. If I'm having a bad day, this is my "go to" video. It makes me cheerful, too! ;)
(Whoever named Mathilde, chose perfectly. Its such a cute name, and she looks like a "Mathilde.")
Love, love, love this video!
Gorgeous foal...lovely head! I love how the other horses in the barn are SO curious with Mathilde.
Mama sticks to Mathilde like glue. Such a good mama, and beautiful baby.
Mathilde is a beautiful little " Tiny Dancer " 🩰🩰 🌺💝 Remarkable beauty at five days old 💞 She is so joyful and feisty for such a little lady !
Little Matllde so cute! I love how she tried to greet all of the other horses!
Love how all the other horses look at the baby.. it's almost like they are congratulating her ❤️🙏
Pretty little Mathilde, and now you are 3 years old. Happy Birthday. Time really does fly by, almost as fast as Mathilde is running in this video.
This is just utter cuteness overload. You can't understand that such a tiny baby horse can run like that. Pure joy. Pure bliss to watch.
Have loved watching Mathilde grow up!
It’s so fun when I find a video of yours that I haven’t already seen. Although it doesn’t really matter if I’ve seen them before. I still watch. They all give me that happy, contented, joyful feeling. Thank you
Loved this! All the other horses running to watching the foal go out for the first time. Its pure joy at having so much more room to run and play. Just beautiful. Warms my heart, but makes me wish they were totally wild and free.
Kimberly, they are very well cared for, lots of freedom, nothing to worry over ... This way they are safer...
Such a beautiful filly.
I've watched her grow up to a beautiful horse. So trilling to see her as a baby. She'll be tired when she gets back to the stable.
That mare is such a wonderful Mom! She’s so calm and patient with the foal, and is teaching her to be trusting and kind!
Mathilda was just an adorable little girl - and spunky!!! She was just as beautiful as her mama and has grown to be a gorgeous young lady! Praying for continued healing, Yvonne!
I wanna hug her
Mathilde is such a beautiful horse now and I have thought she was special ever since seeing these videos when she was just born. It has been so wonderful to watch her grow through Yvonne's videos.
Look at that little girl go! Such a pleasure to see her run like that, discovering her ability to run. She is happy.
This brought me so much more joy than I was expecting. Especially how interested and excited the other horses were.
They are so beautiful. I love the way all the horses were checking the baby out when went by.
*VERY SMART NEWBORN. SHE REMEMBERS WHERE SHE ENTERED THE INSIDE ARENA. SHE IS PERFECT IN EVERY WAY !!!*
All the adults want to see her! It’s so adorable. Mother & daughter are completely fascinating. Beautiful! 💗💕
i appreciate you not playing music over the video, so we can enjoy the barn and horse sounds! absolutely gorgeous horses, congratulations!
Aye my goodness these horses are soooo beautiful !!!!!!!
I love how mom just torts so lightly like a feather …
So interesting to see the little one actually learning: some awkwardness contrasting with instinctual coordination. Love how she alternated between looking to Mama for assurance and being overcome by the sheer joy of zooming around: that behavior definitely holds true in most social species! May they have long, joyful lives.
Until this popped up in my 'Recommended,' I had forgotten what a gorgeous little lady Mathilde was, and what a smart and lively filly she had been.
P.S. - I am not certain if Sjirkje is playing with Mathilde, or if we're watching a harried mother trying to catch her far-too-energetic daughter. At least Mathilde is smart enough to seek Mother's protection when the barking starts.....
The only words I have are pure perfection. This brought tears to my eyes and love for these awesome creatures 10 fold. Their beauty and strength are so majestic ✨️
Mathilde is such a beautiful confident little girl like her mum x

I like how Mathilde is still a little unsteady while lying down and getting back up! 😊😅 That half roll was precious!
Oh, Mathilda was so incredibly cute as a little filly and so full of energy! When Mathilda- woman- walked Sjirkje and Mathilda- filly- back through the barn, it looked just like a Disney cartoon movie with every single horse turning to welcome them back, get a peek at the new arrival, and congratulate Sjirkje on her new baby! I can almost hear all the comments and the different voices of the horses like a gaggle of women, Aunties, and cousins remarking about the new addition! What a fun and awesome video! 😊
Stunning momma and her little!! I love how these 'Zorro' horses prance when they just walk. Magnificent creatures!!
