I am 5'4. Black American women did me a favor by ignoring me in my 20s while I pursued my two masters degree, law degree, and field internships in the states and overseas. By my early 30s I was fluent in 3 languages (French, Arabic, and Turkish) and my social circles was mostly women with foreign backgrounds. Meanwhile, my alpha-male friends from college who attracted the flyest girls like honey were all on the hook for child support for 18 years cuz they got trapped by thots. Honestly, who has time for such unrealistic delusions. Life is out there and needs to be lived.
Worldliness and being multi-lingual are meaningless to most Black American women, unless they too have had similar experience. Getting out and seeing the world, and interacting with different cultures broadens you. I've traveled a little, and study foreign languages on my own. I get far more joy interacting with women that are in other countries, and I prefer women here in the states that weren't born here. I don't think there are any paradises on Earth for men, but I find my interactions are far more positive with Internationals.

That's what's really important. A healthy relationship leads to a healthy family, we need more of this in the black community. Single parent households are at 75% and the result is evident on society. It's sad to admit it, but I don't think I'm going to pursue black women anymore and black women are my preference.

I have a friend who was on the police force with me. He was 5’11 he had a woman he liked who was 5’0 and she told him he was too short. He was 11ins taller than her. Almost a foot taller. She had a baby daddy 6’1 who was doing zilt for their child. This is who she was chasing behind. My friend ended up with a 5’8 wife.
Women (and men) would have no idea, the 6'1 guy was probably 5'11, almost a certainty from what I've observed. In the afternoon I'm 5'11.7 and tower over many 6'1 and 6'2 athletes I met from America. In the morning I crack 6 foot by a cm.
In my experience, since I'm 5'9, I noticed that American Black women were not really checking for me. But I noticed in college, other ethnicities of women gave me the time of day mostly Hispanics, caucasion and asians. When I globe hopped i noticed it wasn't really an issue. If they were black women they were often from Ghana or Ethiopia. But now that I make a decent wage (cloud engineer), I notice Im good either way. However the result is that Iv developed a preference for non Western women because of these less than favorable interactions.

I’m 4”11 and normally date men between 5”4-5”8. It looks weird to date someone 6”4. Why do people care so much about height? What does that have to do with how you’re treated? If anything short men treat women better because oftentimes they’re overlooked for superficial reasons.

Women have height restrictions. Men have weight preferences. The difference is that most men on average date across a full spectrum of weigh classes and types of women therefore are more forgiving and lenient when it comes to weight. Women on the other hand all want the same type of men irrespective of where they fall on the attractive scale and what social class they belong to or associate with. Most men want a beautiful woman and even try to yet fail to punch above there level and usually settle for a woman who is average looking but comes with the intangibles that make for a great relationship. TLDR: men’s preferences are less restrictive whereas women’s preferences are based on requirements thus are more restrictive and stringent.
Weight preferences? Not in the black community. You are more likely to see a fit black man with fat black woman than a fit black woman with fat black man.

Overtime with maturity I've learned to accept myself the way God made me. Not everyone can be 6'5" or taller. Just a lonely existence though.

Get a random text from her college roommate who got my number from a mutual friend. She said 5'9 was just fine for her, and we started talking.....it's 2021 now. We've been married since 2004, have 3 beautiful kids meanwhile her "6'3 or taller" friend(They're still friends to this day) is a single mother.

I'm 5'3 and I've never dated a guy that was 6' tall. 🤷 Height is trivial, among other things. As long as I feel safe & secure with him, it isn't a factor. The last guy I dated was 5'7 on a good day.

He owned his own home, had 2 vehicles, & had begun his career. Besides that, he was kind & very handsome. But because he was 5'8, I think a lot of the girls he liked probably didn't even look his way. He was also sort of shy, so that probably didn't help with dating, either. But, knowing him only reaffirmed my belief that having dating PREJUDICES (because everything someone dislikes is not just a preference) causes people to miss out on the happiness they could have.

I'm 5'9" and my cousin begged me to go on a blind date with her friend. This is late 90s. Seriously...I don't like blind dates because I've seen too many movies. So I meet the girl whose 5'11 and has on 3" heels. The entire time she talks about how she played basketball at Michigan state and she don't normally date short men like me. I’m 5’6 and had 90% of women refuse to even talk to me on the basis of my height. Sucks for them as I’m an above in the top 10% of earners in the US. Glad the women I’ve dated were more concerned with my qualities than my height.
I'm white and 6'0" but I have to say women's shallowness when it comes to height has always pissed me off a lot even though it's never hindered me in any way. I actually get complimented on being tall often but I still see how they act towards men who really ain't "short" but since women only want men within the upper 15%-20% it's not enough. My 5'8 height used to bother me until I was 21 and realized that I won't be like my Dad who's 6'2. I finished my 4 military commitment, started my business, got my finances straight, focused on fitness, real estate and pilot license, and my confidence is at an all time high now being 25. Meanwhile, I have some male friends who complain about the dating scene because they waste so much money on dates. I guess me being short is a blessing in disguise. Me being passed over told me to redirect my focus to developing the best me. While they continue to waste money on dates, I used that money towards my purpose.

I'm 5'5" & in my experience if you're dating online a LOT of men totally lie about their height, maybe the vast majority, which is dumb bc you're gonna know as soon as you meet in person. But this is contributing to women saying they want a "tall man" or "nothing under 6'2" will do" (which is a white girl saying lol). This is not just a black woman thing, it is also a young American woman thing in general. The plus side is that when you approach a woman who is taller than you, they may perceive you as more confident, so that can increase your chances. If they “look down on you” for something as trivial as height, you probably dodged a bullet. Some men have to stop letting height hold them back. Too many young men feel defeated because of their height. I am 5’9 and have used that as an excuse to not approach women taller than me and always regretted it later. In my experience, since I'm 5'9, I noticed that American Black women were not really checking for me. But I noticed in college, other ethnicities of women gave me the time of day mostly Hispanics, caucasion and asians. When I globe hopped i noticed it wasn't really an issue. If they were black women they were often from Ghana or Ethiopia. But now that I make a decent wage (cloud engineer), I notice Im good either way. However the result is that Iv developed a preference for non Western women because of these less than favorable interactions.

Women have height restrictions. Men have weight preferences. The difference is that most men on average date across a full spectrum of weigh classes and types of women therefore are more forgiving and lenient when it comes to weight. Women on the other hand all want the same type of men irrespective of where they fall on the attractive scale and what social class they belong to or associate with.
Most men want a beautiful woman and even try to yet fail to punch above there level and usually settle for a woman who is average looking but comes with the intangibles that make for a great relationship.

He owned his own home, had 2 vehicles, & had begun his career. Besides that, he was kind & very handsome. But because he was 5'8, I think a lot of the girls he liked probably didn't even look his way. He was also sort of shy, so that probably didn't help with dating, either. My 5'8 height used to bother me until I was 21 and realized that I won't be like my Dad who's 6'2. I finished my 4 military commitment, started my business, got my finances straight, focused on fitness, real estate and pilot license, and my confidence is at an all time high now being 25.
Meanwhile, I have some male friends who complain about the dating scene because they waste so much money on dates. I guess me being short is a blessing in disguise. Me being passed over told me to redirect my focus to developing the best me. While they continue to waste money on dates, I used that money towards my purpose.

Height is not a big deal too me, I am 5'4 I have always said that once a guy is taller than me even if it's by 1 inch I am great with that. My husband is 5'7, but then again we are from the Caribbean and we think very differently to American black women.

I thought I was 5'8" as well, but was recently measured at 5'9" in my bare feet. I was also lean and broad-shouldered and was pursued by females on a regular basis. So if you remain an attractive person, many women will want your company.

The plus side is that when you approach a woman who is taller than you, they may perceive you as more confident, so that can increase your chances. If they “look down on you” for something as trivial as height, you probably dodged a bullet. Some men have to stop letting height hold them back. Too many young men feel defeated because of their height. I am 5’9 and have used that as an excuse to not approach women taller than me and always regretted it later. I have been on dates with a couple who are taller than me too.

It's objectively middle-of-the-road height. I see on TikTok silly vids from girls saying stuff like "6,2 is the new 6,0". Much of this is driven by pop-culture, trends and social perception. Because this simply didn't happen 30, 40 or 50 years ago. Most of the girls who demand a 6-foot+ guy have dads who are like 5,8" or whatever, which was evidently tall enough for their mothers, right? But when young women see other young women wanting tall guys, they instinctively want to follow along and say they want tall men too. Social image matters massively to women, and if they think their friends or girls around them will look down on her, judge her, or mock her for dating a 'short' guy, then she'll not date a short guy purely on this basis, even if she actually finds shorter men attractive.

I get called short a lot by both taller men and women who I am taller than, but as you said, I am average height. I weigh over 200 and compete at heavy weight so I am heavy for my height and short compared to most athletes in my weight class so I forget that I am average height haha.
