After binge watching numerous KS videos and other similar content, I came to the conclusion that women who say they want a man, don’t want to listen to what it takes to get a man from a mans perspective; they’d rather have their negative behaviors validated by other women.

Some of these callers are making that up, and others need to upgrade their therapist. If you know a lot about your licensed therapist, then they are not putting the client first in sessions. Most licensed therapists are great, but some really do spend the bulk of sessions on THEIR OWN stuff instead of the client's presenting issues.

Now married, after watching Kevin since the pandemic started. Twice I was corrected and held accountable because of my actions that reflected Kevin's discussion topic. I denied it first, then after a few minutes I put my pride to the side and realized I was wrong. I could have stayed with my justification but I knew It wouldn't mold me into the woman I wanted to be, (proverbs 31). So I admitted to my wrong doing, apologized and ask my fiancée at that time, to have a little bit of patience, as I work through my disfunction. I became more aware of my actions, took initiative to change, and now we are happily married. 😊 Take accountability, ladies. Change your prospective, grow, and receive for what you work towards. 🙌

Mr Samuels is very right about female therapists having issues themselves. I remember a while back i went to see a therapist and she was a mid 30s black woman. I had personal issues that were affecting my relationship and articulated them very clearly to her and that the reason there’s problems in my relationship is because of me not my man but she kept finding ways to make my man the perpetrator although she doesn’t even know him and made me seem like the victim😂I swear if I didn’t go there with a clear understanding of myself and self awareness I was gonna walk out of that place totally resenting my man and feeling like Im innocent like she made it out to be but I made a firm decision there and then to never go back for another session. Decided on just seeing a married therapist or a grown male therapist instead they’re better at aligning you with the best outcomes in a relationship. Id advice every woman to actually take that decision aswell if u really want good results

I'm pretty sure the lambasting of black women started first with black men in powerful, affluent positions (the rapper and athlete class). Black women pretty much sat back while the men publicly mocked their features for a bigger portion of the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. In fact, there was a VERY strong minstrel-comedy culture in the community (a la Martin Lawrence, Tyler Perry, Eddy Murphy etc). In effect, mocking black women has become so mainstream (partially thanks to black men) that it lives on via racist caricatures of Serena Williams and Michelle Obama (to name a few) - both of which are actually traditionalist females that conform to gender norms.

The most powerful message I got today really came from the second caller who discussed how her mother apologized for the lies that modern women have been selling to men, and especially their daughters. Great grandmother had a 50th wedding anniversary, as did grandmother -- but mom didn't? Instead, she had FOUR? It would seem that great grandmother and grandmother held down traditional core values of a woman that men till this day still love. But her mother opted for the unnecessary change that modern women feel will drive them to find a husband. She literally found physical evidence that modern women need to drop whatever these selfish and self-centered ideas are that their mother's pass down, and pick up the traditional, feminine, cooperative traits that men desire. We don't want fighting and arguments. We want peace and cooperation, and the love and happily ever after will take care of itself.

Some of these callers are making that up, and others need to upgrade their therapist. If you know a lot about your licensed therapist, then they are not putting the client first in sessions. Most licensed therapists are great, but some really do spend the bulk of sessions on THEIR OWN stuff instead of the client's presenting issues.

Now married, after watching Kevin since the pandemic started. Twice I was corrected and held accountable because of my actions that reflected Kevin's discussion topic. I denied it first, then after a few minutes I put my pride to the side and realized I was wrong. I could have stayed with my justification but I knew It wouldn't mold me into the woman I wanted to be, (proverbs 31). So I admitted to my wrong doing, apologized and ask my fiancée at that time, to have a little bit of patience, as I work through my disfunction. I became more aware of my actions, took initiative to change, and now we are happily married. 😊 Take accountability, ladies. Change your prospective, grow, and receive for what you work towards. 🙌

Mr Samuels is very right about female therapists having issues themselves. I remember a while back i went to see a therapist and she was a mid 30s black woman. I had personal issues that were affecting my relationship and articulated them very clearly to her and that the reason there’s problems in my relationship is because of me not my man but she kept finding ways to make my man the perpetrator although she doesn’t even know him and made me seem like the victim😂I swear if I didn’t go there with a clear understanding of myself and self awareness I was gonna walk out of that place totally resenting my man and feeling like Im innocent like she made it out to be but I made a firm decision there and then to never go back for another session. Decided on just seeing a married therapist or a grown male therapist instead they’re better at aligning you with the best outcomes in a relationship. Id advice every woman to actually take that decision aswell if u really want good results

I'm pretty sure the lambasting of black women started first with black men in powerful, affluent positions (the rapper and athlete class). Black women pretty much sat back while the men publicly mocked their features for a bigger portion of the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. In fact, there was a VERY strong minstrel-comedy culture in the community (a la Martin Lawrence, Tyler Perry, Eddy Murphy etc). In effect, mocking black women has become so mainstream (partially thanks to black men) that it lives on via racist caricatures of Serena Williams and Michelle Obama (to name a few) - both of which are actually traditionalist females that conform to gender norms.
@RonYo Women of other races are rushing to divorce black men by the droves, especially white women, with whom black men share a 92% divorce rate. That's higher than any other interracial union. In almost ALL cases - it is the woman who is leaving the black man. Similar trends are observable with black male marriages with Latin, Asian and Native women. The most powerful message I got today really came from the second caller who discussed how her mother apologized for the lies that modern women have been selling to men, and especially their daughters. Great grandmother had a 50th wedding anniversary, as did grandmother -- but mom didn't? Instead, she had FOUR? It would seem that great grandmother and grandmother held down traditional core values of a woman that men till this day still love. But her mother opted for the unnecessary change that modern women feel will drive them to find a husband. She literally found physical evidence that modern women need to drop whatever these selfish and self-centered ideas are that their mother's pass down, and pick up the traditional, feminine, cooperative traits that men desire. We don't want fighting and arguments. We want peace and cooperation, and the love and happily ever after will take care of itself.
