"Hey guys do you think we should like... stop charging into the pit of acidic darkness in a really tight chokepoint against an enemy that can generate a black hole to pull us back into it?" "Shut the FUCK up Carl, Shar doesn't even like you. Now Dash again and take another 15 damage while being unable to move." "Yes Elder Viconia..."
you played that so well with such precise and tactical uses of spells. I've seen a few of these HM vic vids and some of them just trivialize the fight with arrows of many targets and damage stacking on the first turn.
Oh thank you! I prefer this kind of game play over the kind you described, nothing wrong with it it's just not my thing. Glad to hear that you enjoyed my kind of game play though! :)
Choking them to the corridor is very effective, works in other fights too with lots of enemies. Used this same tactic on this particular fight twice on my playthroughs, only once I went with full force, but then I had a party of four with two lvl12 Paladins smiting the heck out of them and Shadowheart & Jaheira slinging aoe-spells from the corridor :D
P.S. HoH really f*cks up the enemy AI don't it? I've had one playthrough where no one on my team could cast it. Very few things can replicate the damage, debuff, and battlefield control of HoH, I felt nerfed.
any strategic reason to not close the door here or did you just not consider it at all? it would've prevented them from casting on you but I can imagine the downside would be they'd flock more to the front than they did here also: there's something satisfying about defeating Sharrans with darkness (HoH) :D
As you mentioned it's about them charging forward too much. I was a bit worried about them dashing through HoH too fast and me not being able to keep them away. The Justiciar Crusaders hits really hard 😅 HoH felt very on point here! :)
Beat her last night on balanced. It was down to Astarion and my Tav. They downed Tav and Astarion was threatened. I threw a potion to Tav across the room and then had Astarion chug one. They killed off Gale and then the melee attacker ran to kill Astarion. I took advantage and divine smite into paralyzing crit. Astarion used disengage and took aim at the enemy that was in front originally. Crit and then they were killed. The last attacker lost their turn and my Tav attacked with his last reaction “luck of the far realms”. It was over
Fun fact, you can cancel a Sanctuary by.. casting sanctuary on them!
😁 Oh I have never seen/heard about that before! Sick =)
I love getting comments like this. Been learning tons of stuff!
Yeah, kinda like hasting a target that already hasted.
Really, I must try that.
@@Jules_Diplopia Particularly helpful with a certain Drider from Act 2!

Oh my god that mind blast in the choke point was GORGEOUS
Thank you, really satisfied with that myself :)
Yeah that was sexy af. Nice and mind-blowing 😂
They really should arcane lock that door 😂. Another great fight, well done 👏
Thanks ^^. It would be the safer thing for them to do for sure!
Your videos made me play as a Hexblade in my new playthrough! Thanks for all the effort.
Glad to hear it and thanks for watching my shenanigans! You running solo?
@@FriendlyLich Full party, as I like to make mistakes :)
@@gazmodus hehe, everyone makes mistakes. :)

Crazy good! It would had been fun to smack em all but I chickened out :D. I did take on the last Courtyard though!
LOL that was perfect.. the chokepoint was made for hunger..
Thank you and I agree. Crazy good place to look them down :D
3:13 Viconia talking in 2x speed is hilarious for some reason
😅
That's me EVERY single time I'm bone chilled lmao

@@rmg480Yeah it’s pretty nuts how good it is. Specially combined with black hole :D
Awesome as always.
Thank you very much Jules =)
has tiamat blessed you on this glorious day
We are blessed today 🙏🏻

Nice! It turned out good in the end though! 💪🏻
7:10 wet + cone of cold would have destroyed them 💀
Or a firewall. Anyway, you put up a really nice strat with that chokepoint, bravo!
Very true :)
14 cull the weak procs. wow
