Or you could just use a layer of matte top coat and fully cure it.. powder won't stick to it but the powder might get stuck in the scratches you create from buffing the surface like they are doing in this video.. both ways work but I prefer the matte top coat version🤷♀️
@analauraramirezvillanueva1008 k so back up plan if the matte you have does this.. you use a no wipe shiny top coat.. cure.. put the chrome on where you want the lines.. brush off the excess powder.. do your lines over the chrome with shiny top coat.. cure.. wipe the nail really good with acetone to get the chrome off that you didn't cover with top coat.. and then you can be done or top coat again for a smoother surface.. it works everytime and it's fun watching your clients get so excited when you wipe the nail with acetone and their chrome lines are revealed 🤣
@NickyNicole21 recently watched a short with raised bubbles on nails, using iridescent chrome powder. They were beautiful! I'm guessing same technique?! Thank u for sharing! 😊
One thing that works amazing for me is I do a matte topcoat fully then I do topcoat and curate halfway and then I rub everything down with an alcohol pad and really get everything off and then I put the chrome powder on top and wipe it with a brush soft brush and then topcoat and dust anywhere else besides the topcoat
