    Also guessing Swedish? We have one upstairs and we’ve used plexiglass and cut a hole for the tube to go out of. Since the window kits aren’t for Swedish windows.

    10-15 minutes before it blows cold air = aint right. My 10 yo ac cools within a minute.
    Tip, make sure you have a very tight seal on outlet hose or hot air will be drawn in as it's not a dual hose ac (dual counters the pressure decrease and are not as sensitive to leaks as they don't create under pressure in the apartment)
    1. Does it have water spray over condenser?
    2. Nice with the drain hose. Moat modern air cons dont drain a lot as they condense the water over the condenser (increased efficiency + less dry air) but if not for sure water will drain

      This one seems to use the water for the condenser. Because the manual tells you to plug the drain hole when using it in Cool mode, to increase efficiency.

      This unit can be converted to dual hose with some DIY: Block the lower rear air intake grille with some seal and lead it into a 2nd hose. Because that vent is where it pulls the air for cooling the compressor etc. You can massively improve efficiency of single hose ACs by doing that mod. It can be a bit tedious to mod though. I DON'T UNDERSTAND why manufacturer don't just make their intake filter into the shape of a 2nd hose hole so that people with brains can plug in a 2nd hose to increase efficiency.

    Hi Mixxel, what do you think of the noise level of this AC?? Is it bearable? I guess I won't be bothered much during the day, but do you think the noise is bearable during the night? Thanks!

      Hello. It does make some noise yes. Recommend and put it on for an hour before going to bed then turn it off after that

      It is comparable to every other AC unit: 60-64dBA. Totally typical operating noise. It happens because a portable AC contains a compressor. It isn't the fan making the noise. It's the compressor. So every portable AC unit has noise in the same average 60 dBA range. Whether it annoys you is totally subjective. Some people love it because it's like a background white noise machine for sleep. Others are super sensitive and can't stand ANY portable ACs. A silent portable AC DOES NOT EXIST in this world, so don't worry about looking for one. You can't find any. Because every portable AC has the whole compressor indoors, and that's the noisy part.

      @@BenderdickCumbersnatch what can be wrong with my AC if it makes SO MUCH noise like it is not normal. Maybe you can give any advice? Thanks!

    I have the gold version. Should I use the top or bottom drain in cool mode?

  • @raikkusaatana

    Operating noise video would have been great. How about its built quality, too many this kind of products are resonating and make all kind of plastic noises when operating. Or fan make irritating/not normal noises.

      I just bought the Chillflex pro... that model is relatively quite. The noise level never crossed 48DB. The cooling is quite good too. The only concern I have is that the AC leaks a lot of warm air in the room!

    What’s the lowest temp ? 18?

    • @Mixxel
      @Mixxel  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. 18.

    • @BenderdickCumbersnatch
      @BenderdickCumbersnatch 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, lowest temp is 18C like in every AC. Even 18C is problematic. If you set an AC to 18C, and you operate it in a low-temperature room, the unit's internals may literally freeze (ice)...

    Hello! Thanks for the video! I just unboxed mine. There’s water in the floor coming from the drain. I didn’t plug the drain hose. In this case do I need to plug it and put a pot like you did? Thank you very much!!

    • @Mixxel
      @Mixxel  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello. yes you must. when AC converts hot air to cold air it condenses water. But it is only done when you have it on cool

      @@Mixxel No you must not. The manual explains that on Cool mode, you should plug the drain hole and let the unit keep the water inside of it: "During Cool or Auto mode, it is
      recommended to disable continuous
      drainage by replacing the drain cap to
      the drain outlet, to reach the maximum
      performance."
      Most of the water will evaporate naturally. If it's very humid the AC might stop and display "P1" on the LCD which means the water tank is full and needs manual draining. That's the only time you should drain it in Cool mode.
      It's the "Dry" mode (de-humidifier mode) that needs continuous draining.

    A bit disappointing video. You spent 2/3 of the video on how to unbox and unwrap the plastic from the AC but didn’t show how to put on the hose and airfilter, and how to attach it to different windows and doors.
