I feel sorry for Arven . He has become one of those characters who have got a really painful story. But other characters somehow had seen the light at the end of tunnel but he is the only one whose story started with pain and ended with pain . Melancholy
He does manage to heal his Pokémon and he’s figured out he wants to be a chef. And he’s got good friends now. So his ending is bittersweet, since he still has to learn his parent is dead and watch an AI version of them die as well.
What I love most about Arven is his strength and ability to move on and stay positive despite everything. I have daddy issues myself and it has affected me throughout my life, even when I think I’ve moved on from something I learn I haven’t fully healed. His character inspired me.
What surprised me was that right before he went into evil mode, he was talking in sleep mode. That must have been how powerful his will was to stop the time machine
And it showed how much more the AI cared about Arven compared to his own mother and father. I really hope he gets like...group hugs. Therapy. Lot of therapy.
Yeah. This game is similar to Sun and Moon but at least Lillie (edited to correct the spelling of her name) and Gladion had a loving - although disappeared - father and Lusamine was being poisoned by Nihilego, so that could explain her behaviour. Arven has no decent parent. In either game, one of the parents abandons him at birth and the other is too obsessed with research and their goals to actually be Arven's caretaker. It's really messed up.
Hasn't seen his parents in years, nearly lost his pokemon due to the injuries it sustained, found out his parents have been dead for some time? Like god damn man. Hugs for our man arven!

I literally cried so hard... man poor AI Turo... the character backstories *broke* me. I just wanna see the professors be happy with their Pokémon and child... and the fact that Arven ventured out into Area Zero just trying to find his parent which ended up severely injuring Mabosstiff was so painful.
Does... does anyone notice that, when you enter the battle scene vs AI Turo, the dialogue tag for him isn't "AI Turo" anymore, but "Professor Turo"? Holy, the SUBTLETY in this game is amazing
I did too. I was like "Oh wow, nice to tell us that this is what the original professor wanted". I have more sympathy for the AI than the flesh and blood.
Even though there’s technical issues, holy cow the last little bit of the story really impressed me. Hopefully in the future, GameFreak continues to have the box-art legendary be a big part of the story, cause I really felt like I got to know Miraidon and truly become his partner.
I feel like if Game Freak took the time to rid this game of the glitches that riddle it, that this game would definitely be considered one of Pokémon’s absolute best.
Yeah it wasn't hard for me to look past the battle floor disappearing every time I encountered a pokémon on a slant, or the frame rate dipping, or the constant ugly textures that sprang up every now and then. But what we have here is such an incredible story that really lets you go wherever you want from the moment you finish the prologue to the end. I was blown away from how well they handled the entire region, save for a few parts that felt empty and uninteresting. The end was also mind blowing.
I still like it. This is the first game in a very long time where the story isn’t about someone trying to use a legendary to take over the world or some dumb thing like that. I already love this game because of that
Honestly I kinda liked it better with just text. The story went full Undertale (looking at you Toby Fix compositions for the game) so text instead of voice acting kinda fit the aesthetic.
I wish our character had the opportunity to thank the AI professor. For all intents and purpose, it had the hopes and desires of an absolute psycho. But it fought against its core beliefs because it knew destroying the time machine was right.
Soemthing i noticed when i went back to the machine after was that it looked the exact same as before it was deactivated and it looked more like it was still on. almost like it managed to reboot without the ai
My take is that while the AI might have a copy of Turo's/Sada's mind stored inside, it also has access to cold, pure (and maybe even unbiased) logic to sift through all that crap (because we know that the real flesh and bone Turo/Sada were definitely NOT ok in the attic), so It still has the impulse/wish/desire/directive to do all the wrong stuff but doesn't actually have much of a conflict in refusing to carry it out until the Protocol gets triggered because the AI part was able to determine that the plan was a supremely idiotic idea probably just mere seconds after activation.
Not embarrassing. I was in shock as I battled Turo saying that "the real professor passed away." I just sat in shock for a good five minutes and cried during the battle, but held myself together in the end because I told myself that this is for Arven as I battled.
:( I was really feeling for arven What's worse is that HIS MOM PROTECTED Koraidon ...died His Dad protected Moraidon and died ..... It's so sad that the AI just hold memories of his parents :( then they leave to the past and future So then his parents are also consider divorced too then ........ :c Because past and future cannot meet but the Present is Found :( Their son Arven is in the present His mom is in the past His dad is in the future
interesting how a masterball is not only canon, but straight up used in this battle...really seems like more of them may be being made in the world now, if not now, then definitely in the distant future
Fun fact: you can’t actually faint miradon/koraidon during the battle of you vs. parasite protection protocol, strangely enough my koraidon was at 1 hp but didnt die on the next round, i didnt heal it either
@@wikiuser92 it absolutely does not make sense. Its like saying that legendary pokemon- shouldnt faint you when you try to catch them. Or that your starter should never faint because its been with you since the start of the game. Its somewhat killing the challenge in pokemon.

I do as the Violet one was my fav and in my opinion reminds me of a old random in fall guys and I like how after killing him you get paradox forms (besides the legends)

I’d beg to disagree that in Violet, this scene was more impactful. Turo’s movements and behavior here felt more robotic and emotionless, which really added to the whole AI scenario. Just me though.
End of pokemon Gen 9 is just like a band of brothers who defeated deliquents, being a champion, win the final fight of world scaled conflicts and another guy who just wanted to see his own pokemon to be fully recovered
The final boss praising you for "having the wisdom to think for yourself" after a battle that forces you to use a specific pokemon and is impossible to lose is peak Gamefreak

We can infer that, I suppose. Arven has both their characteristics. The other professor just didn't show up in the game because they left after Arven was born
Aside from all the bugs and glithces this game have,but they can be repaired(idk if gamefreak will do it tho) the music and the lore still claps,mostly the ost,thats the only thing that never dissapoint in any pokemon game

Idk why but for some reason, even though they're written exactly the same way, scarlet's end left me with a stronger impression. Maybe because I've seen too many of Turo's archetype already. A father who was obsessed of his work to the point of neglecting his own family and misjudging the implications of achieving his obsession. Maybe that's why Sada playing that role was a fresher take for me.
Scarlet was much more impactful with the mom rather than the dad, but due to the style these ferocious prehistoric creatures and the design of Sada differing from the tried and true future robot apocalypse trope, Scarlet was far more dark and creepy to me. Also the time machine turning red in Scarlet rather than purple did NOT help at all.

Anyway, pokemon nailed the story and pokemon designs with both games. Despite what i said, i don't feel like one version is above the other.
I feel that it's strange how the book of violet which was written TWO HUNDRED years before the storyline feature pokemon of the "future" and this wacky wants to bring then to the present and create some sort of paradise? It makes sense if Sada wants to resurrect species but pokemon of the future haven't "existed" yet.
I honestly agreed. I played both games (since I couldn’t choose a definitive version when they came out so I decided to go with both) and honestly Sada (aka Scarlet’s professor) left a stronger impression compared to Toro cause although I love his design a lot more compared to Sada (my opinion can change overtime but as of now I like Toro’s design more) but something about her left an stronger impression and plus I find it cool that she went in time and pretty much became a girl boss against a legit Dino

That ending was beautiful. I don’t cry easily, but I could feel tears coming along when everyone walked out of that crater together, and that credits music played. Before this, I didn’t like that they weren’t having the Pokémon League be the final challenge before the credits, but this ended up being far more emotionally impactful than the League ever could be. Going to the end of the world with your friends; this is what Pokémon is really all about. I really hope they do something like this in the next Pokémon games.
In Pokemon Scarlet, ai Sada will fight u with paradox Pokemon from the past as they are only exclusive in Scarlet. They are: Brute Bonnet, Flutter Mane, Scream Tail, Great Tusk, Slither Wing, Roaring Moon and Sandy Shocks. In Pokemon Violet, ai Turo will fight u with paradox Pokemon from the future as they are only exclusive to violet. They are: Iron Treads, Iron Bundle, Iron Jugulis, Iron Valiant, Iron Hands, Iron Thorns and Iron Moth. They are different versions of other Pokemon we've all seen before and there different compared to them. I like all of the paradox Pokemon, they look pretty cool with their own designs. I personally love the robot versions of Gallade, Tyranitar, Donphan, Delibird, Hydreigon, Volcarona and Hariyama more because I really like how many cool things robots can do and robot Gallade aka Iron Valiant has a blade like double spear as it's weapon and that's dope as hell.
I think Sada it's better in AI, it's much more scary trembling....Turo don't express (Not because we are in Violet and we are robots) so much "Robotization" as Sada, Sada it's so scary
Story is great and the pokemon and the crystalline power upside are cool but I wish they added voices to this games it would then give it more impact ya know
Honestly, love or hate these games. I honestly adored all three rivals (aka Penny, Namona, and Arven) and I don’t think I ever enjoyed this many rivals since Black and White (don’t get me wrong, I love the rivals in Sun and Moon plus the ultra versions but something about Bianca and Cheren are great) and I hope that whatever comes after these games (being a remake or something different entirely) they would make the rivals have something similar to what we have in these games if not better!
Pokemon should make their next game be in the future and it would be cool if the professor was found somewhere after completing certain side quest in the game
I had been spoiled that Professor Turo was going to be the final boss of the game before I managed to buy him, but still, wow, it was so unexpected to find out that he was long dead and that we were going to fight him AI, the music of this battle, the storyline, everything is amazing. As much as I was pretty frustrated with the game's glitches, poor performance, and lack of polish, I'd still say it was one of the best Pokemon games I've ever played, just for the gameplay and the ending alone.
After the three light-hearted quest lines that I followed to get here, I wasn't counting on this final arc being so dark, even bleak. Then I finally got to bring out Miraidon, and it was like taking back the dreams that were lost to restore hope.
Story and gameplay was really mid until the Area Zero part ngl. From there onwards, it was probably the best story segment we’ve ever gotten for Pokemon.
Man after Arven and Nemona nearly left me behind while flying MY Maridon into area zero I did not expect to have sympathy for him. But wow. After that ending I felt for him.

Aside from all the bugs and glithces this game have,but they can be repaired(idk if gamefreak will do it tho) the music and the lore still claps,mostly the ost,thats the only thing that never dissapoint in any pokemon game

Idk why but for some reason, even though they're written exactly the same way, scarlet's end left me with a stronger impression.
Maybe because I've seen too many of Turo's archetype already. A father who was obsessed of his work to the point of neglecting his own family and misjudging the implications of achieving his obsession.
Maybe that's why Sada playing that role was a fresher take for me.
Scarlet was much more impactful with the mom rather than the dad, but due to the style these ferocious prehistoric creatures and the design of Sada differing from the tried and true future robot apocalypse trope, Scarlet was far more dark and creepy to me. Also the time machine turning red in Scarlet rather than purple did NOT help at all.
@@bigchillin4216 yup good points. Perhaps the metal coated mons + a work obsessed dad that i've seen over and over is the reason why scarlet felt more creative for me even though it's the same plot.
Anyway, pokemon nailed the story and pokemon designs with both games. Despite what i said, i don't feel like one version is above the other.
I feel that it's strange how the book of violet which was written TWO HUNDRED years before the storyline feature pokemon of the "future" and this wacky wants to bring then to the present and create some sort of paradise? It makes sense if Sada wants to resurrect species but pokemon of the future haven't "existed" yet.
I honestly agreed. I played both games (since I couldn’t choose a definitive version when they came out so I decided to go with both) and honestly Sada (aka Scarlet’s professor) left a stronger impression compared to Toro cause although I love his design a lot more compared to Sada (my opinion can change overtime but as of now I like Toro’s design more) but something about her left an stronger impression and plus I find it cool that she went in time and pretty much became a girl boss against a legit Dino

That ending was beautiful. I don’t cry easily, but I could feel tears coming along when everyone walked out of that crater together, and that credits music played. Before this, I didn’t like that they weren’t having the Pokémon League be the final challenge before the credits, but this ended up being far more emotionally impactful than the League ever could be. Going to the end of the world with your friends; this is what Pokémon is really all about. I really hope they do something like this in the next Pokémon games.

In Pokemon Scarlet, ai Sada will fight u with paradox Pokemon from the past as they are only exclusive in Scarlet. They are: Brute Bonnet, Flutter Mane, Scream Tail, Great Tusk, Slither Wing, Roaring Moon and Sandy Shocks. In Pokemon Violet, ai Turo will fight u with paradox Pokemon from the future as they are only exclusive to violet. They are: Iron Treads, Iron Bundle, Iron Jugulis, Iron Valiant, Iron Hands, Iron Thorns and Iron Moth. They are different versions of other Pokemon we've all seen before and there different compared to them. I like all of the paradox Pokemon, they look pretty cool with their own designs. I personally love the robot versions of Gallade, Tyranitar, Donphan, Delibird, Hydreigon, Volcarona and Hariyama more because I really like how many cool things robots can do and robot Gallade aka Iron Valiant has a blade like double spear as it's weapon and that's dope as hell.

Honestly, love or hate these games. I honestly adored all three rivals (aka Penny, Namona, and Arven) and I don’t think I ever enjoyed this many rivals since Black and White (don’t get me wrong, I love the rivals in Sun and Moon plus the ultra versions but something about Bianca and Cheren are great) and I hope that whatever comes after these games (being a remake or something different entirely) they would make the rivals have something similar to what we have in these games if not better!

Pokemon should make their next game be in the future and it would be cool if the professor was found somewhere after completing certain side quest in the game
I had been spoiled that Professor Turo was going to be the final boss of the game before I managed to buy him, but still, wow, it was so unexpected to find out that he was long dead and that we were going to fight him AI, the music of this battle, the storyline, everything is amazing.
As much as I was pretty frustrated with the game's glitches, poor performance, and lack of polish, I'd still say it was one of the best Pokemon games I've ever played, just for the gameplay and the ending alone.
When I saw our miraidon's moves it was clear why it lost the territory dispute with the other one
The Brutal one also has a Higher level which isn't shown in the fight
Though, with a better trainer (the player) it did much better in battle.

After the three light-hearted quest lines that I followed to get here, I wasn't counting on this final arc being so dark, even bleak.
Then I finally got to bring out Miraidon, and it was like taking back the dreams that were lost to restore hope.
Yeah we defo need more storytelling like this, less of the goofy team star plotline and kieran whining throughout the entirety of the dlc
