And then there is "Nicht in meinem Namen", which I thought you would have started with.
You might also want to check a fun one, "Regen" "Believe in Steve" "Probleme, die ich früher noch nicht hatte" or challenge your German skills with "an dich".
I love his serious songs, but yeah, also his lighthearted ones. Favourite: Die Architektur in Deutschland. :D

Shae, I didn't know that song so far, but it could be called "a song for Germany". His criticism is right. We HAVE a constitution, helldammit, and if some government tries to overrule it, it should be ousted. if need by force. Article 20 of the Federal Law:
4) All Germans shall have the right to resist any person seeking to abolish this constitutional order if no other remedy is available.
So, what are we doing here right now? They talk about the legalization of marijuana, as if that was a big issue, while they're illegally exporting weapons into a war zone and changing election rules so they can stay in power.
If it continues that way, I'll be a refugee in another country, which sure will not be in Europe.
And here's a call to all the young people out there: Do not protest against climate change. It's too late, you can't stop it. Protest against those politicians who want to take your civil rights away, against corruption, and against undermining our freedoms.

How can you understand the language without subtitles? nowadays you can have every youtube video automatically translated into your own language. German songs usually make a lot of sense in the lyrics, some like unheilig or Sido with his tattoo song even with a background story
But they don't make any sense in the automatic translation 😂
The translation from TH-cam is really, really bad. I listen to a lot of english videos and I wish I could get rid of this bad translation, that TH-cam offers.
@@ullielch7592 the translation function to german is very accurate enough. you don't just have to just press subtitles and see if the language is available the function is not very good where it says (automatically generated) in brackets... but after you have pressed subtitles you should press translate automatically there where you all languages are listed, which is a lot better. No longer that you can translate yourself, but that is then translated by a kind of Google translator... with (automatically generated) any private person can manipulate the translation. in the case of not automatically translated, only minimal grammatical errors can happen googel translator halt

Bodo Wartke ist a very special case. There was a time, I would have suggestest every single piece of him to listen to, or if I would have children, I would have put his CD's into the player in childrens room, to make my children learning a high level of german language. It was the time, when Bodo Warkte mostly has written funny pieces, and sometimes a serious one, but even the serious ones had fun in it (example "Monika"). Bodo Wartke did what Reinhard Mey has done before, entertaining the Audience about the little tings in human live, that we all know and sometimes happen to us. But then Bodo turned, and I remember, one day, he showed a bunch of new pieces, he had written, and nothing of it was funny nor entertaining, it was all critic on our society. All dark and sad. He may mostly be right with his critics (I don't agree with all), but it was definitely the point, I would not put a CD with this pieces into a childrens room any longer, even if his wordplay and language level is as high as before. He turned from Reinhard Mey Style to Konstantin Wecker, the happiness of earlier pieces is gone. I miss the old Bodo, who was much more entertaining.
