- 5-21-23 SoR Metallica/Megadeth Performance Band. Performance bands are created with students with different levels of music skills. They meet once a week over a period of 4 months to rehearse and put on a show at the end of 4 months. I was thrilled to be asked to step-in as a drummer a few weeks into the start of their rehearsals as I had never played anything by Metallica or Megadeth.

Absolutely love seeing kids like this. It’s not just the getting out there and doing it it’s the fact they are playing music from an era beyond their years and doing it well. I’m a 54 yo uk bass player here and I’d be more than happy to stand in front of that drummer with full confidence in her ability.

@@katepilcherdrums You did have 2 pedals, but a single bass drum, 4:28 - 4:30, the transition to the fast part of the song. Not taking anything away from your accomplishment, you did really well on a classic Megadeth song.
She has a double kick pedal, look at 4:27
