It looked like your plate had more dumplings than his did. Maybe it was the way they were placed. On your plate it looked like the top layer were propped on their ends which made the level of dumplings taller than the other plate.

I used to use the Claire's sugar-free syrup but it had like no flavor then I tried the one you're using Mrs Butterworth sugar-free absolutely delicious I think the pork should go really well with the sweetness of the syrup
