I have read your article yesterday and I must say that the so called experts know nothing about the work done by the engineers at airforce and HAL. Yes, I do agree that western engines are more reliable. Nambiar sir had said the same in an interview with Shiv aroor (Live Fist). Till now, IAF used eastern approach and now it is shifting to western approach and we can see that in Tejas and subsequent projects. All these people in the think tanks are way more critical than they ought to be. Ego may be. Russian design philosophy is different. They have different views in their military doctrine. They are the only country which operates a special force (Spetsnaz GRU), under the military intelligence (GRU) that kills its own wounded soldiers and there is no concept of buddies. Their aircrafts are designed to be rough. it has its challenges but one has to accept them and improve them. If Russian airforce is desperately asking for SU 30 SM (inspired and impressed by what we have done with MKI), it is a testament of our talent. Jai hind.
Probably the one myth i was expecting u addressed in this video was about how "apparently" the various sensors and equipments dont talk to each other, which I'm not sure how credible it is but surely is probably the biggest criticism of su30 mki. instead of bashing people for criticizing we should make sure we use and buy platforms that can be integrated with the rest of our network of systems. Buying a different kinds of stuff from different sellers which can't communicate with each other is a strategy that won't work in the modern combat scenario.

Because as soon as we install the weapons on the aircraft, the life of those weapons degrade very fast. That's why during only during interception some of the ac are installed not all. And during flight ,the life degrades even more
What's your take on MMRCA 2.0 and all the hearsay around it? I know you've made quite a few videos on this topic but would like what'd you think. Personally I feel, MMRCA 2.0 is only a negotiation tactic to get Dassault aviation subscribe to the Make in India initiative and lower the costs of Rafale for the balance 114 fighters. If Typhoon & Rafale were the only fighters which made it through the technical assessment, there is little argument why the rest of the competitors are still in fray if they were DQ from MMRCA 1.0 since the qualifying criteria hasn't changed. Also how can LM & Boeing pitch the F35 with F16, F21 & F18s and expect them to be assessed on a level platform that IAF has clearly defined ? Why would any any airforce even consider the earlier versions in front of the latest one ? Same is the case with Su57 pitched with Su35 & Mig 35. Either LM, Boeing & Sukhoi know that the fighters they pitched earlier weren't upto IAF expectations or they're contradicting themselves and virtually saying that the F35 & Su57 are in the same category as the F16, F18 or Su35. If the Russians and Americans thought they could take the IAF for granted (or for a ride) under political pressure - that strategy has been exposed and fallen flat. It's time these vendors do a rethink of what they want to really pitch or IAF DQs the fighters which didn't pass the technical scrutiny previously and only allows F35, Su 57, Typhoon & Rafale to stop wasting everybody's time. It also goes to say the surety in which Dassault and EADS have re-entered Rafale & Typhoon respectively which shows the confidence they have in their products. Btw...the critical insights IAF must have gotten by testing the F16 & Su35 used by the Pakistani & Chinese airforce would have been invaluable 🤫😉. Now that the IAF already owns 36 Rafales, its makes little sense to go for anything else. Tatas made a wrong move by not anticipating that the American companies wouldn't let IAF modify or integrate other arms and technologies with their fighters. But since Anil Ambani is down the drain, they can do a re-think and tie up with Dassault Aviation instead.

This means IAF believes mig29 more than su 30..... one reason may be bad engine of su30 but then we also know from our naval mig29-k experience, how good RD33 engine of mig 29 is.....

I watched a video of Abhijit Iyer Mitra. And what I got to know that even Mirage 2000 is way better than Su 30 MKI. Su 30 MKI was a good fighter but as a result of putting machineries of different countries on the same platform , the fighter jet worsen . It's just my opinion. Am I right in this point or not?
Every fighter has it's role, sir. Mirage is excellent for Air to Ground bombing, but SU-30MKI is excellent for Air dominance. So, no comparison possible.
One thing is quite certain. Going ahead, there is no point trusting Russian platforms. They may hv their own superb features, merits etc. No doubt. But factor in the way our folks negotiate, the deal gets sub-optimal. From an overall package perspective, including spares, availability, maintainability, etc Russian platforms hv issues. Out of 250 planes, at best, around 130 -135 planes are available for combat. I wonder if IAF can afford to operate this way. Availability of present day fighters should be 75%. Western platforms live up to this. Su30MKI shud hv started getting upgraded to Super Sukhois about four to five years back. Why we ignored that, is beyond me.

As the amraam of the f 16 could reach su 30 via high altitude however the previous version of R77 could not reach F16due to being at a lower altitude hence had to dodge amraams. @@AlphaDefenseHindi I am sure you are aware of the problems of servicibilty levels of the Su30 MKI. The base problem lies in the fact that Russian engines are not suited to tropical Indian climate. I am referring to the concept of thermocliens which you are aware of. Hence we opted for an American engine for LCA. Part of the problem is that the core of Russian engine is heavier to produce more thrust. Bhai unless until we recognize the problem exists, we cannot rectify it. The same engine problems are plagued in Mig29 K, and our Navy is fed up it. There are alot of things I cant state in an open forum. Having said all this, we need to do best with what we have and focus on applying concepts of network centric warfare and interoperability. We don't want another situation where the Su30 is not able to give a target package like what happened post balakot.
After the 28th February incident when group of pak jets attacked indian side raising questions on the the capability of sukhoi-30 mki is completely normal.we have arround 250+ sukhoi-30 mki's but the attack on 28th February mano ya mano was a shameful thing.hamare pass mig-29 sukhoi-30 mki jaise Russian jets hai but uss din kyun hamne kuch nahi kar paye.

I understand your views but critisism by ORF Special Report is good, at least they're openly speaking on such national security issues! Foreign countries have government defence companies too but it's mostly india that lacks in technological advancements, thanks to incompetent politicians and ignorant bureaucrats.
In recent years lot has been said about su30s being inferior to f16,j17 and others.
But India knows its strength.

I watched a video of Abhijit Iyer Mitra. And what I got to know that even Mirage 2000 is way better than Su 30 MKI. Su 30 MKI was a good fighter but as a result of putting machineries of different countries on the same platform , the fighter jet worsen . It's just my opinion.
Am I right in this point or not?

Every fighter has it's role, sir. Mirage is excellent for Air to Ground bombing, but SU-30MKI is excellent for Air dominance. So, no comparison possible.

One thing is quite certain.
Going ahead, there is no point trusting Russian platforms. They may hv their own superb features, merits etc. No doubt. But factor in the way our folks negotiate, the deal gets sub-optimal.
From an overall package perspective, including spares, availability, maintainability, etc Russian platforms hv issues.
Out of 250 planes, at best, around 130 -135 planes are available for combat. I wonder if IAF can afford to operate this way. Availability of present day fighters should be 75%. Western platforms live up to this.
Su30MKI shud hv started getting upgraded to Super Sukhois about four to five years back. Why we ignored that, is beyond me.

@@SaurabhKumar-fo6zp few months after 27th February skirmish. As the amraam of the f 16 could reach su 30 via high altitude however the previous version of R77 could not reach F16due to being at a lower altitude hence had to dodge amraams. After that the upgraded version was integrated as well as Astra. There are plans to integrate Astra with Mirage , MIG 29 and Tejas fleet as well.

@@AlphaDefenseHindi I am sure you are aware of the problems of servicibilty levels of the Su30 MKI. The base problem lies in the fact that Russian engines are not suited to tropical Indian climate. I am referring to the concept of thermocliens which you are aware of. Hence we opted for an American engine for LCA. Part of the problem is that the core of Russian engine is heavier to produce more thrust. Bhai unless until we recognize the problem exists, we cannot rectify it. The same engine problems are plagued in Mig29 K, and our Navy is fed up it. There are alot of things I cant state in an open forum. Having said all this, we need to do best with what we have and focus on applying concepts of network centric warfare and interoperability. We don't want another situation where the Su30 is not able to give a target package like what happened post balakot.

After the 28th February incident when group of pak jets attacked indian side raising questions on the the capability of sukhoi-30 mki is completely normal.we have arround 250+ sukhoi-30 mki's but the attack on 28th February mano ya mano was a shameful thing.hamare pass mig-29 sukhoi-30 mki jaise Russian jets hai but uss din kyun hamne kuch nahi kar paye.
