I run wheel pads underneath the rollers of the bins on peoples lawn.Just a hardwood plank with a roller stop screwed on the end.prevents lawn rippage.Customers like it.
Hey Dave enjoy your videos. I did trucking for 31 years for the railway in Ontario. Had to strap down loads like you now and again. Mostly P/U's - drops memories now.
Good tip about looking away Dave, I tell young gardeners to ALWAYS cover the ends of stick plant support you that you put in the ground with a yogurt pot or coke can. If you bend down and it goes in your eye - you won’t rub it better 🥸
Hi Dave I’m glad you’re doing well. Your videos are great to watch. It’s amazing that you have to track your equipment for a handful of dirtbags out there. Peace Bro Tell Andrew to pick up the pace would ya please. Kid’s in love again and we suffer for it.
Yea Dave you are right, I pulled a rubber strap across my pickup from one side to the other, and it came loose and hit me right between my eyes in that crease between my eye brows... That was a wake up call. I love those straps, but they don't make them as good as they used to.
So I got burned as a young mechanic about 15 years ago working on trucks putting batteries in now I Mark my grounds with a zip tie whenever I take something apart Weatherby starter or batteries and then you never have to guess in the future if the colors aren't right
Would love to hang out with you guys but I’m financially embarrassed right now…..a plane ticket and missing work work put me to sleep financially. Sounds like a lot of fun👍 Enjoy yourselves 🙂
everyone hand tarps differently i find folding it in half length wise twice and then rolling it up is easiest so when you tarp the next one you can set it on the edge of the can and unroll it down the can
You should try a pole with pointty end a to drive the tarp by the eyelet from the ground. It can save you from going down a bin head first and smash your spine.
My friend has a roll off company. I went with him a few times in his Mack. The drivers seat is the only seat with air ride. I feel like i went a couple rounds with Tyson after a few hours in the passenger seat. I was wondering if the dog felt the same way.
"I know some people sit it down at the dump to untarp, but i dont have time for that" .... "Hey Moss, wanna go for a swim?" Lol Just teasing, i just thought the timing was funny haha. Love the videos, have fun at the Meet & Greet!
Dave u should take black electric tape and tape that negative cable so next time u won't have problems with your battery cables too also...I had the same problem and did that fix too now too .
Isn't manual tarping fun LOL, we never used anything smaller than 40s, throwing the rolled up tarp on top of the load then climb up on top of the bin always had to be careful not to fall off. During the wet season the tarp would be twice as heavy soaking wet and covered in road spray. Our trucks had high tower tarps but they didn't have the swing arms, you lifted the mast up pull the tarp over the load. Usually damn tarp gets snagged, especially when you are un-tarping it snags something now you are fighting the f***ing thing. A lot of my demo loads I didn't tarp my bins were machine loaded the hoe operators know to bury the loose shit in the bottom.
@dumpster Dave you can get a 1gal or so jug or mixed seed grass for your area and leave it in your truck or bring it when you go out. never goes bad as long as its not wet. or moldy. and do a couple sprinklers seeing a guy do a little over seeding makes a customer feel like you care big time for literally $1 lol or buy a full bag and buy a small 1 gall scooper jawn and bring it with.
Hey Dave Enjoy your videos. Keep them rolling. Look forward to your New shop. Mind telling me what camera you use to shoot your videos and what Drone? Kind Regards JC
Nice video, that visibility wasn't that bad.... In the Netherlands that would mean nothing for all the Formula 1drivers we have here on the highways... Idiots... I a preciate your defensive driving..... LD18 at Hyundai... I think someone at Volvo had a very very bad week...... LD18 was Mr Volvo..... Again nice video, thumbs up.
Have you ever thought about having some sort of roller behind your cab so the cover can roll out over the bin and then just roll it back up before you go to dump the rubbish? I’m sure you’ve already thought about it and I think they have factory built ones so I’m just stating the obvious , and I’ve just answered my own question, anyway the comments help the channel, don’t they?😂🤣👍
WOW a host of utube stars at the meet and greet thoough your missing out on one the smartest most versatiles ones JESSE MUELLER .. you know when Jesse is on the job your getting a good quality work and not hack work like Andrew
@@Dumpster_Dave we tried sticking them to the dumpster but funny guys find them and take them or people who know about them throw them in the bottom of the load and we just end up leaving them there since it would be hard to find them. Love your videos be careful wen your walking inside your dumpsters trying to tarp. To many voids and could get hurt
what if you tied a weight rope to the corners and middle of the tarp, get the tarp ready on one side, toss the weight/ropes over and just pull to finish on the other side

Wow you all so know Diesel Creek I am a big fan of Diesel Creek that would be nice to see you all together that would make my day.
Nice customer offering you beer/water.
Might help to keep a few puck magnets in the truck to hold the tarp while you get ready to strap it.
I could try that
I love when i found new channels like this!! Amazing 🤩

Love the TUG leash. And do be careful with the "eyeball removers".
Lol he will tug you around,
Luckily I have a small property to let my Ridgeback run before we go on leash to walk. She can burn off some energy.

My cab is air ride makes a huge difference
We load those dumpsters with 20 to 25 ton of chickenlitter one on the truck (4 axels) one on the trailer (3axels).
Have fun @ Expo 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Safe Trip Dave!
Great Work Dave, on getting ur dumpers and tarping the top. it looks like it would be bad working in the rain and snow>>

That’s exactly what happens, my 2 other trucks have auto tarps.

Replace your divots.😅😅
Whats the matter with your roll tarp? Great video⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wood, Glass, Plastics, etc all together in one box? Will be very difficult to divide materials later and recyle them ... ;)
👍👍
Do you put the trackers on the dumpster for theft purpose or just so you remember where all your dumpsters are?
Both

We're do you install your tracking devices or do you just throw them inside the dumpster
You can stick them to the dumpster,

Looking away WONT save your eyesight Dave. Wearing safety glasses WILL.
That is how people get injured, complacency.
The best thing about equipment security is not to show or talk about it
Your right but I wanted people to know they could use them.
You doing the wrong way to tarp your bins dude.
Again what you guys have up there its totally different as to what we have down here.
I hate it when people complain about something wrong and don`t do anything about it.
what if you tied a weight rope to the corners and middle of the tarp, get the tarp ready on one side, toss the weight/ropes over and just pull to finish on the other side
That will work if there’s no nails
