Wow! What's amazing to me is the way everything is fluid and dynamic in the improvisation and yet also somehow the underpinning structure is still there and never falls to pieces or comes undone. I've heard a lot of music in my life, and a lot of improv music, but never heard someone improvise lyrics with the music. Usually it's just vowel sounds, or extended vocal techniques, or invented language, or maybe spoken word, never sung words, not with improvised music. That's quite a high wire balancing act! I hear Scott Walker, Nick Cave, Peter Gabriel, but at the same time, it's wholly original. Congratulations! Are you performing anytime soon? I'd love to come to a gig.
Wild!
Thanks!
