What MATLAB is trying to promote is that this software tool is not just an academic software tool rather it has a potential in industrial sector as well, which is not really the case.
Why sir? I'm learning Matlab in my 2.year university course right now and I think it is very very powerful program(and of course Simulink) So why you do think that they are not suitable for industry?

I've worked in industry in a variety of fields and used Matlab at each. I've seen engine control code generated from simulink.
