London Marathon 2022 - THE RACE, completing a marathon within the first 6 months of being a Dad!!

- Wow, what an amazing end to a crazy 16 weeks!! To say I’m over the moon is an understatement. This will always be my greatest running achievement. When starting the Vlog I didn’t really have a clue how the training or the Vlog was going to turn out. I just wanted to be myself and keep it honest. I found myself growing as an individual who was becoming a dad. It then became apparent that the purpose of the series was not to sacrifice everything for the running and to achieve my ‘A Goal’, but to sacrifice the running for my everything. I learned how to find the balance with my time to support my family, whilst managing my training commitments and expectations apart from that. This brought greater meaning to my running. The actual ‘A Goal’ turned out to be how little disruption I could cause to Izzy and Arianwen, making sure that I was there to help and support them whenever they needed me - not just to do the minimum I could get away with, but the maximum to be the best dad I could. I’m not articulate enough to say this in a Vlog, nor would I want to read from a script but writing these words here will accompany the best running experience I am likely to ever have - my first London Marathon. Thank you for those that have watched and followed my journey. As to what is next… I will have to speak with my team ❤️👨👩👧😀
2022 has been a tremendous year mate, well done for getting this achievement locked in… NEXT 🔨

That brought all the memories back for me!! Well done on a great run. Marathons are hard!! London always measures long but ignore your watch - like you said you end up weaving and the gps goes haywire at Canary Wharf. 3:48 is a strong time 💪💪 Congrats

I am going to focus on cardio and running at the gym and running outside and no weights .
