Its sort of weird for Sonic 4 to be an episodic unfinished series, and also that it was supposed to be a mobile exclusive originally was supposed to be called "Sonic The Portable" but then SEGA of America wanted this to be on home consoles, which does make sense and explain why the graphics are dogsh!t, and its also just weird cause during the "Project: Needlemouse Countdown" thing on social media or smth from 2010, where they ask you 16bit era trivia questions and if you got it right, then a character on the picture with the emblem like from Sonic 1 with characters like Shade, Vector, Charmy, Chip, Sonic's new friend Mr, Needlemouse, Big, Froggy, Tikal and finally Shadow, where all of them were crossed out except Sonic, and that once that was over the new logo was revealed to be Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode 1, and for smth that happened idk, the person who won got to go to a place somewhere idk where to see the full verison of Sonic 4, and then the game was somehow leaked and everyone hated it so Sonic Team had to delay the game in hopes to fix some errors, but they weren't enough, then Episode 2 comes out 2 years later and tries a lot harder than episode 1 with some new bosses, some good soundtrack in my opinion, and having Tails in there, and that they had a lock in like with Sonic 3 and Knuckles, but with both episode 1 and 2 gives you Episode Metal, where it explores what happened to Metal in Stardust Speedway on Little planet, and surprisingly Episode 2 has a plot, Eggman is back and has captured little Planet from CD and Sonic and Tails must stop Eggman along with Metal Sonic as well, and at the end is a massive cliff hanger, cause Little Planet is still trapped and Sonic and Tails just left without freeing the planet, so we are left with an unfinished Trilogy ending at Episode 2, with Little planet trapped and Episode 3 being cancelled so it feels unfinished, I would've liked to see what Episode 3 would be. But then again, thats my opinion

i don't hate is game bce i never play it
Alot of people say its the worst sonic game, but i think it's pretty decent
