Idk the best way to describe it, but like, imagine a line where one end is single-person focused survival games where building never gets past like, chests and boxes. Games like Don't Starve or whatever, and the other end is city builders, where any individual person is completely irrelevant, like Banished or City Skylines. Kenshi sits somewhere in the middle between those depending on how you choose to play. In terms of quality, I have a few hundred hours sunk into it and don't regret it at all. It's a good sandbox, and you can play for a long time and still not see everything it has to offer.
Can I just say that all the music from 4:22:00 to 4:27:00 was ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. Like, how can you not only perfectly fit the songs from a different ost, but also sync them 100% with what's happening on the screen.
This is SO WEIRD. I've been playing Kenshi since like 2012 when it was in alpha. I've never known anyone else who played it, and to now suddenly see Jerma streaming it is so jarring.

@@Satekas Yeah, it's definitely not perfect, and the style of play isn't for everyone. It isn't super intuitive, and does have a fairly steep learning curve. However, in my (admittedly biased) opinion, it does so many things right that it easily makes up for it. Kenshi combines so many of my favorite gameplay themes and mechanics into one cohesive experience, and I haven't seen any one game do the same nearly as well. Also, dropping stolen items on the ground doesn't alert anyone. I just tested it in-game. Jerma was probably confused. Picking a dropped item up while it's still marked as stolen, though, is a good way to get caught if you're stealing skill is low.
It is. Jerma is pretty attrocious at it though. He reduced his speed by 70% carrying way too much shit then mining rocks making to put him to 1% speed. If he could move faster than a boulder he could have sold a few copper rocks at a time to pay for cost effective foods like dried meat and oatmeal at the bar.

@@7kiro787 no not really. mining copper isn't abusing mechanics since it's literally just like giving your characters a job, and buying a house in a city is normal. the only abuse I could think of is crafting and having your characters hit a legless skeleton on a repair bed to train their attack stat indefinitely.
