Just found your channel like an hour ago and have been hooked. Im a fence installer in Hawaii and its interesting watching different installation techniques. Awesome channel. Happy new subscriber here!
@@neilkratzer3182 yea but not as much as people would think. Run into blue rock and volcanic rock daily tho. Coral and sand only closer to the shores but people along the shorelines tend to go with rockwalls more then fences.
Awesome. I’m starting a project like this with the same angled extenders on top but for a wooden fence. How do you recommend tying it off on the ends? Maybe just installing a metal post in the ground on the ends👍?
Not to get too picky but.... here in the Ozarks, it would be "Edubicated about hangin' bobwar". We don't use one of those fancy schmancy mobile adjustable angulated unwinders. Instead, we just pitch the roll of bobwar on the ground, kick it with the toe of our boot, into the buckbrush and let gravity carry on down the mountain. Now I can see that some folk might want to be productive but, you are kind of missin' the point. We've found thars no better thing that a roll of bobwar to chase the Copperheads out of the buckbrush. What do y'all use to clear them out? One last question.... bobwar ain't effective at keepin' interlopers away from our stills. We normally top our fences with concertina razorwar. Do you have any tips on how to unwind the barbs on it?
What’s your review on the yellow chain walker you used in this video? I bought one through Amazon and there isn’t much reviews on it. I did see a video where someone advised their views not to buy it. But you used it easily.
Went into a customer's home and in the main bathroom. The toilet seat and lid were clear plastic with shiny new barbs from barb wire incased in the seat and lid.
It makes it more resistant to climbing over. And no, the fence is not on the bleeding edge of the property line so the wire is not on anyone else's property.
@@SWiFence So, it is to keep what's in if facing in, and out to keep what's out out. I was watching a TH-cam video showing that arrow ports were facing inward as well as outward in The Great Wall of China. Why? It's like having a V arm on top of a post instead of a straight arm up.
There should be an "Add To Cart" button on every page. If something's messed up you're welcome to call the shop and order over the phone. The guys will get you taken care of. (307) 578-8040
Rule of thumb with Chain link is 2" up for terminal and 3" down for lines dependent on your height of fabric. Of course, if adding a + 1' for barbs to your terminals.
Are these videos for people with big machines like yours, or for DIY or this is just for entertainment? cause I’m a subscriber but I don’t have any of these heavy equipment when I’m trying to do some of this work, and these video do nothing for me
We have a range of subscribers with a range of interests. While we certainly do DIY videos, we also sometimes focus on how the pros do it for the benefit of other contractors and folks that just want to learn as much as they can.
Going to give you hard time on this one lol. Why.not tighten the bottom strand first and work your way up that your not fighting between the strands and wire. Up you only have to contend with the strand below. Just an observation lol By the way only way to go when your stretching that much barbwire.
In general you’re correct but any deflection will cause issue with the other two strands. Pressed steel arms are notorious for folding over if you tighten too much on the outer strand so we start there.
How about showing this from a dryer point of view. Anyone that has a machine and tools like you have doesn't need to watch a video on how to install barb wire... btw nice work.
Yeah, we're trying to get more DIY-focused content out. First and foremost we're a fence company, so there have been some challenges making the channel everything it should be. 👍🏻
Contractors. 🙃 That's why the title says How WE Install. Seriously though, you do raise a great point--we should do a video without the contracting equipment. 👍🏻
I like that you didn't stretch the barbed wire tight as a banjo string. The tighter you stretch it, the easier it is to climb over.

? Do you deal with alot of sand and coral.

It’s a great channel. Welcome aboard.
Thanks for joining!
@@SWiFence can you do it w/o a machine?? like on ur fence at home??
You guys were great. I am also loving all the graphics and sound effects, perfect for my ADHD and short… ohh shiny.
I am too!
your videos are fun easy to understand. I am studying to obtain my fencing license and these videos are a big help.
-thank you for posting 😀
Wow! I have been installing fence going on 40 years! I have never heard of a fencing license!
Theres the answer !! I just asked to fast on the last video!
Fact that I'm just a DiY guy without the fancy tools mean that this video was not for me but thanks for sharing
We are coming at it from our perspective, but hoping you see through the tools and glean from the methods as well. 👍🏻
I had no idea that ez grout made such a tool. Much easier than the twist and torture method I am familiar with.
It can easily cut the time in 1/3 to 1/4
…and I knew as soon as you said it. 😂
nice job on a security fence
Thanks!
Thanks 🙏

🤣🤣🤣 Love it!
What's the name of them caps I've been looking for an hr
Another question? Maybe silly but does it matter what barb wire you use for chain link top? Could I use same as my ag fence tornado wire brand?

I don't know what brand the yellow one is that I have somewhere. Seems to work ok.
@@SWiFence thanks! I trust your judgment

😳 Never would have thought of that!
Why is the barbed wire facing outward instead of straight upward? Is the wire now on a different property?

If you have 6 foot fabric what do you cut your intermediate post at?
Overall length of the post can be 8' or 9'. Height of post from top of grade to top of intermediate post is 69".
Rule of thumb with Chain link is 2" up for terminal and 3" down for lines dependent on your height of fabric. Of course, if adding a + 1' for barbs to your terminals.
Only thing I would change is the T bar it’s HUGE,
Leverage. 😀👍🏻
