I have a 2013 S550 and I'm experiencing an issue where the right side keeps sagging. The suspension compressor stopped working, so I replaced it. However, the new compressor still doesn't turn on. I've checked the relays and confirmed there's power. My question is: if the valve block is malfunctioning, could it prevent the compressor from turning on at all, or should the compressor still activate regardless of the valve block's status? Essentially, I want to know if a faulty valve block can stop the compressor from even starting up.

Sorry to hear about that. So, to the question you asked. The valve block cannot stop the compressor from starting. That will be either electrical issue, a fuse or a relay having a problem. You should have it checked by a mechanic.

Dear, I replaced the left front air bag, however this time, both fronts lowered about 3 inches...the tire is not completely hidden under the wing, but it seems that both fronts are lowered...What should I check?

Did you try calibrating it after the replacement? Also is there an airmatic message notification on the dash? and if so what does it say?

@@all-about-cars-basics As the mechanic tells me, it does not need to be calibrated and should continue to look for possible leaks...I can no longer understand what is right and what is not right.

Thank you very much for the video dear. I would like to ask you about my case: sometimes in 24 hours, sometimes in 48 hours, only the front left side goes down only at night when the car is parked (w221-2010-s400). I took it to the mercedes center where the computer shows no error...I calibrated it at the official mercedes center, where they also checked it for 2 hours and the height did not drop even 1 millimeter...basically it goes down at night when the temperature is a little lower. When I start the engine - it goes up instantly. Please tell me where to start looking for the problem? This morning the battery seemed to crank the engine slower and slower, I have a 4 year old AGM battery, could a weak battery be the cause of my air system problem described above? One last question: what is the reason for changing your valve? Please tell me what to do? (Calibrated at an official Mercedes dealer without any problems... about 1cm deviation was noted - which was corrected during calibration) Please tell me what to do?

You are welcome. For your case, your front left air suspension strut is starting to go bad. I had same issue before. The battery issue is not related to the suspension, that may be something entirely new drawing power in your car. The reason why I replaced the air suspension valve block is because it was leaking.

@@all-about-cars-basics Thank you very much for your reply dear..I wonder how you found out that the valve block was leaking?

Hi 👋🏼..What was your symptoms that you went changed the valve block ? Thank you

The car kept sitting down especially when parked for some time. And every time the car was started, the pump would always run to compensate the lost suspension air.

@@all-about-cars-basics oh ok , I tested mines by having it lifted up (ml63) and came back 5 days later still raised up as I left it , however it rides stiff as stuck on sport mode ( sport or sports plus is not engaged ) any thought ? Valve? Or pump ?

@@BiLoSellHigh Ooh okay. that means your problem is not with the air suspension system. But it is with the damping system. Maybe one or more strut damper is gone bad. To understand it better read the explanation on w220.wiki/Airmatic#Adaptive_Damping_System_(ADS_II)
Good luck. And let me know how it goes.
