It surprises me that youtube doesn't have a category for animal abuse under the list for reporting a video. Honestly I feel like a petition should be made to include it as that would open the door for youtube to actually address it

    • @inventiveusername5191
      @inventiveusername5191 2 ปีที่แล้ว

YT, collectively, has literally no morals. They will promote whatever makes them money. They will stop only when its stops making them money for whatever reason, or because the money it makes ceases to be worth the problems it causes.
If legislators and advertisers were cool with it, basically, they would show and promote absolutely anything. Yes, even the sorts of things which might have come to mind when I said that which no-one needs me to describe.
I'm sure lots of people they employ are very troubled by this - it's wrong to call the entire organisation evil. But as a collective force, yeah, I don't think they're very nice.
Way to get this stuff taken down is to draw as much attention to it as possible. Soda is doing the Lord's work.

Tried to tell her that orcas don't belong in captivity and initially she just brushed me off, but then became really offended and said that it's my fault for upsetting her with "nonsence". The first channel is concerning because surely they're replacing the dead fish and not using the same ones in every video. So does that mean they're killing fish for the videos? And if not, where are they getting them?

    • @feuerling

Dead animals from a fish store/fish market/breeder? Collateral damage from the fish abuse channels? A ton of recodings done on the same day? Either way it's gross.

That poor bunny :( it looks like it's in shock. I don't think it survived much longer after that video ended. It was very wet and its feet were still in the water throughout.

  • @Xakriuth

The video with the monkey was so horrible... I had a sinking feeling in my gut the whole time.
I'm rather knowledgeable on ducks, but the reason that duckling looks weird is because it's too wet. Same reason as the rabbit. Duckling down cannot repel water, so if they spend too long in the water, they can freeze and drown.

    • @thebirdmaster7
      @thebirdmaster7 ปีที่แล้ว

Actually duckling downs can be very water repellent if they're raised with their mother but still that Creek is probably very cold and that duckling still has risk of hypothermia which can lead to drowning if duckling cannot get out the water

Thank you for sharing this. Animal ab*se needs to stop, and no one should be doing it for views. Especially ones that aim it at kids. Videos influence kids a lot, and many kids might think it is then 'ok' to harm animals. I tried educating my younger sister on proper care for hamsters, especially since her friend has some, but she says "but youtube videos told my friend to bath her hamsters and let her cat play with them." So not only is she influenced by that, but also her friend who actually owns hamsters. And, it's sad to think that none of my sisters bother seeing their budgies. I did three years of research for mine, and then they just got jealous and impulse bought (Well, more like impulse wanted, my parents bought the budgies) budgies too. I've had budgies for almost three years, and my sisters have only ever bothered seeing their budgies three times. Each time they would make loud noises and catch the budgies forcefully. Then they would complain that I scare the budgies when the budgies scream in terror at the sight of them. The budgies have only ever believed me as their owner, for I actually feed them, give them treats, train them, love them, do their water, give them toys and enrichment as well as cuttlefish and iodine blocks, begged for my parents to make them a big outdoor aviary (Which they actually did! However, it gets a little hot in summer sometimes, and in winter we have to make sure they go into their warm ventilated box, or into the backup indoor aviary.), and clean for them. They've always trusted me, and know I am no harm, but they are always timid around my sisters. When a budgie is injured, they are calm when I gently pick them up to spray them with a special anti-bacterial spray that helps clean wounds, shortens the wait for healing, and is safe for all animals. In fact, the budgies like to fly onto the spray bottle XD

11:29 we're pretty close in age soda, and i watched a lot of youtube as young as 5-ish years old. this content was near non-existent on the platform at the time. the kids content we see nowadays is a fairly new thing, as youtube was never meant to be for kids when it was first created in 2005. i used to replicate littlest pet shop and webkinz videos with my toys, so unfortunately i can imagine kids growing to be animal abusers because of this content, however it all kind of depends on the kids moral compass and how their parents raise them. i watched some fucked up stuff on the internet when i was little but i did know better. cant say the same for others though.

This is so frustrating to watch knowing that little kids watch this... Kids are smart and do enjoy quality but they will watch whatever is offered for them and if this is what they get, this is what they will watch. They do understand and enjoy more complex stuff too that makes them use their brain and if quality is offered to them they won't even want to watch anymore whatever this is.
I'm glad tho that you create awerness about all this. It did help for me to explain to family members the dark truth behind these videos!

The duckling looks like it’s just a juvi (Indian Runner if I’m right) whose feathers are half-done coming in. They’re also soaked and while their feathers should be water proof, their down is not, so that’s adding to the scraggly look. I’m surprised that a duckling made it to that age in one of these channels, tbh.

The average person should not own monkeys. It is nearly impossible to give a monkey what they need to live happy healthy lives in a home. Think of having a 2 year old for 20 years. They need all your attention all the time. They need a ridiculous amount of space and spcial diets. Simply they are extremely expensive to keep, difficult to keep, difficult to train and just HORRIBLE pets

Ight so about the monkeys. I'm not an expert in this stuff at all but I don't have some form of knowledge going to monkey sanctuaries during the summer. Treating a monkey like a human is a big no no in any case. A good chunk of the monkeys at the sanctuary I mostly go to suffer from some form of PTSD due to the way the have been treated. I'm also guessing those monkeys in the video weren't legally obtained and mostly smuggled across borders and god only knows the condition they are kept in outside of filming. Primates are wild animals that need lots of space and shouldn't be used as play things for entertainment especially considering they can get very violent and aggressive when stressed.
If anyone else is more educated on primate care feel free to correct me on anything. I'm just really into animal welfare

I made a list of these messed up "kids" channels in hopes that they get taken down (Updated as of Thursday 22nd December 2022):
*Magnet Balls* (seen by Soda Pets; mixes animals & overcrowds them; animals died on screen from fighting or bad conditions)
*Fish Surprise* (formerly *Funny Ducklings* seen by AVNJ & Soda Pets; an infamous one where ducklings are abused with overcrowded tanks. Animal died onscreen from bad conditions)
*Love animals T2* (mentioned in a comment; literally the same as NVY - animals world)
*Dinosaur World* (formerly *HOHO Cooking* seen by Soda Pets: they use fish corpses in stop motion & do inappropriate non-kid friendly stuff with them)
*ANA CHACK AK* (mentioned in a comment; abuses toads, frogs & ducklings by mixing them & harassing them)
*Fish Lover* (mentioned in a comment; they put a living goldfish in a freezer 😱)
*cocina primitiva* (mentioned in a comment; same as Dinosaur World)
*Tony FiSH* (seen by Soda Pets; overcrowded fish tanks & also mix cold & tropical water fish; also put male Betta Fish together)
*Kayyesa Fish* (seen by Soda Pets; overcrowded fish tanks)
*Hamsterious* (seen by TehMimi; one of those Squid game hamster channels where hamsters are flung around like toys)
*Animal Stop Motion Cooking* (seen by Soda Pets; same as Dinosaur World, but include baby alligator corpses)
*Animal Home HT* (seen by Soda Pets; put monkeys, paralysed rabbits, diseased ducks, koi & goldfish in stressful situations, such as putting land in rapid waters & fish out of water)
*Animal Islands* (dyed chicks, hold animals by holding necks, put them inside toy vehicles)
*Baby Monkey Animal* (seen by Soda Pets; just like Animal Home HT, but with sick kittens & baby monkeys instead)
*Fish Cutting* (formerly *Fishcutting Chicks* found by Gaadoue19; they dye chicks & use them as toys (put in toy vehicles, & noisy toys are put in their enclosure), & are forced to swim in a pool. They get fed junkfood. The channel somehow won a TH-cam GOLD PLAY BUTTON)
*Baby Chicks* (found by Gaadoue19; same as Fish Cutting)
*BABYCHICKS* (same as Baby Chicks, potentially a sister channel)
*Primative Technology KH TV* (found by Gaadoue19; Staged wild survival videos; they abduct "wild" animals found in unlikely places (e.g: chickens in trees) & take baby birds from parents. All the animals abused are killed & cooked. They feed dogs food with spices in that are bad for them)
*Kustka1* (found by Gaadoue19 just like as Primitive Technology KH TV. It may possibly be by the same people)
*Cooking in Forest* (found by Gaadoue19; just like Primitive Technology KH TV. It may possibly be by the same people)
*Kittens and Ducklings* (found in MY Recommendations; some videos are dodgy, having ducklings in paddling pools with balls & bath tubs with nowhere to rest)
*Aquatic Animal Official* (found by me; harass goldfish with plastic fish & are left on dry land &/or in small puddles)
List of Channels (Possibly) Taken Down:
*NVY - animals world* (mentioned in a comment on a Soda Pets video; they did the same things Magnet Balls do)
*Super fish* (seen by Soda Pets; like Dinosaur World, but backwards)
*Sea Animals Official* (found by Gaadoue19; they chase & harass small animals with a shark puppet & fishing nets. Live Animals get put inside toys. Fish are left on dry land &/or in small puddles)
