Ahhh....the Roland CR-78 drum machine. So glad I finally picked up one of these after so many years after hearing it on Genesis' and Phil's albums. It's also interesting to hear the Yamaha CP-70/80's attack being cut off here for a more mellow tone. Love this demo!
You can hear the familiar crickets from "roof is leaking" and "droned" in here, but this is a dramatic example of what signal/noise ratio can do (silence to loud is drama) and really shows the power of Phenix (EWF) Horns and TomTom84.
@@MyNameIsBucket Good call. Since Duke and Face Value were in the oven at the same time, that makes sense. Maybe that's why the "crickets" in this were tuned down for the final. Duchess is on my mind now (six years later) because I went to the one (OK, there was another in the same venue) location where Genesis *didn't* play Duchess.
