So basically once upon a time there was a saxophone that just knocked up every single brass and woodwind instrument and this guy found all the children.
it's canon
@@isetta4083 He is my professor
Yes, the bass and contrabass aren't experimental saxophones, the bass is less common and the contrabass is very rare. A true experimental saxophone is the sub-contrabass saxophone.
Check it on you-tube searching "Attilio Berni play J'elle Stainer subcontrabass saxophone".
Do you own the J'elle Stainer subcontrabass saxophone?
There like 50k to buy one...
I've also watched the version of this video with the subtitles. What a remarkable collection Attilio has, but what is really amazing is just how good he makes them all sound. The saxes at the extreme edges of the register must be very hard to play. I would love to see one of Attilio's concerts.
What a wonderful range of sounds from the amazing saxophone family. So much lung power must be needed for the bass and contrabass sax, which are amazing monsters. Great fun.
Today is Adolphe Sax birthday ! Congratulations to this master !
Thanks... :-)
Es lo mas hermoso que he escuchado me he enamorado de los saxofones
Hi,
it's a Conn "O-Sax", one of the most rare and beatiful saxophone!
His pitch in F and his range from low A to high G, made in 1928 by Conn Company.
Bye
Attilio Berni i wish I had a conn-o sax. And a contrabass sax and contrabass clarinet. I play alto sax, Bb clarinet, bass clarinet, Contra Alto clarinet, euphonium, trombone.
Yes, all the saxophones are part of my collection the wich include about 500 vintage saxophones, plus vintage toy-sax, original photos, mouthpieces, accessories, etc...
This is the best thing I've seen in my entire life.
Affascinante... cosi tante sonorità, timbri, e tutte espresse al massimo!
I purchased more of 7.000 vintage saxophones from 1993 to 2010 and these are from my private collection. They are in my studio and in my collection there are more of 500 vintage and high collectable and rare saxophones.
Hello! I thank you very much for you comment. I'll try to do a good arrangement for "Angel Eyes" and play it with my Conn Chu Berry tenor saxophone. Thanks again and ciao from Itlay :-)
The song with Adolphe Sax tenor is "Autumn Leaves" while the second is "My Funny Valentine". Ciao :-)
Thanks for posting this video. People like you make life better. Miei complimenti dal Brasile.
Essentially a million dollars worth of instruments most of which are completely impractical, however also incredibly cool. I’m in!
Attilio, I really like what you are doing. I double myself and I can only imagine the reed troubles you must experience with all those horns and mouthpieces. Presenting your collection like that with such fine playing is a real service to sax knowledge. Bravo!
Great demo of the large variety of saxes!

Magnificent performance and playing. Thanks for the demonstration and exceptional musical skill. I play sax, but nothing like this!
I thank you for the comment but the choice of the Saxophobia name is correct and accurate. Saxophobia is understood in the sense of irony and, beyond that, is the title of one of the most famous compositions of Rudy Wiedoeft: the great saxophone's virtuoso and King of the Vaudeville '20s.
In this time start the saxophone's craze and have been built most of the instruments that played in my show. Bye...
Wow such a great and versatile player, congratulation. A real professional.
Never seen nor heard most of these horns? A real pro imagine the time working with each horn to concert perfection?
Hi Michael,
I thank you for your questions. Yes, every saxophone needs a very thorough study so that i can know its specific characteristics. It takes time but it is a study that gratifies and enriches artistically ...
