Just did this - i would take the rubber o ring that ties the fabric to the knob off first. Then have to pull it as hard as you can give it a wiggle and turn too to get the old knob off.
You edited out some important parts in the beginning. Why? Not good
what if i want to use aftermarket whats the type thatvi have to find
Bru u literally didnt show the part that we dont know
Exactly
Thanks From Portugal

Hi, where did you buy the new gear knob from?
Ali express probably
The key is to twist the knob a little bit so it can come out without damaging the adapter underneath.
Do you know if there's a thread under the white adapter?
I tried that but the white part came off with the knob. I guess I have to cut it out now ?
Where can I get the adapter? @playmobit
I don't understand. Must you cut the thing?

Thanks a lot, Dear....
How much kilometres the gear knob broken
mine broke at 110.000 km
Thank you
Mine broke at 87k. Clio 3 has some shitty plastic!
Mine at 200 000 km
175 000 km
Exactly the same thing happened to my car
Merci. Tanks
видео о том, как снять сломанную ручку? или сначала сломать, а затем снять??
Can you not just remove the head and screw another on?
not in a renault ;) there is a proprietary mount and they don't have a threaded rod or anything. Plus most renault cars have a pull up reverse. Of course ... you can just remove the head and put a new one without doing all the stuff he did in the video but still no screwing in there. You need to twist it a bit and pull really hard to get it out.
I'm missing the white cap from the top of the gear stick. Any idea what that's called and where I could get one from?
Did you ever find out where to get one?
@@davec3974 nah, I just ended up buying one of these 3rd party gear knobs from Amazon. You put a fairly tight bit of rubber on the stick and then grub screw the new knob onto it
@@theburntcrumpet8371 thanks, I think I'll need to do the same.
Thanks.
Pourquoi tout ce bruit de music trop fort !!!
