I don't remember the first time I heard this; it was... 8 or 10 years ago, on the local NPR affiliate. I was tickled to discover it was a Cher/Nancy cover, and for a week or two, I would listen to all three renditions back to back for hours. I can't hear the opening refrain of any version, these days, without Kak Channthy's rendition overriding the lyrics of the artist. I am still, 5 years later, saddened when I hear her voice - Even though CSP is still amazing, there's a certain something about her voice that just cannot be replaced.

I went to see the ban call the Cambodian space project last Sunday at Brunswick pup in Melbourne. I enjoyed but I haven’t got a chance to see her 😢. She has a beautiful voice ❤
