@@azynkron I don't know what you mean by consistent, but I was being nice. Motorhead may "incinerate" 70's punk bands in a way, but early 80's hardcore punk is way more aggressive and energetic than Motorhead.

The more you hear about Lemmy, the more you realize how many bands he influenced. Not necessarily his music. He gave people confidence to create their own music. He convinced Chrissie Hind to forget Mick Jones and start a band. He had Adm Ant, Sid Vicious, Mick Fleetwood hanging out. All very different music. And that's why people love Lemmy. That and his appearances in Troma films.

Once again we see why Henry is relatable to us human beings!
He signed my ticket stub after a Rollins Band show at First Avenue. Clearly exhausted - spent - Henry was a very real person who has provided an example through his music, words and humanity.

Motörhead is what happens when you give a few acid psychedelic rock hippies speed and whisky. They are like AC/DC in that they have broad appeal across different fanbases but still respected for being real.

Lemmy would always say that Motorhead were a Rock -n- Roll band. His attitude reminded me of Angus Young who also is unpretentious and just wanted to play rock and roll until he died.

But one day after another tuff day at work trying to calm down an take my mind off of it . While i have not ever been a stoner I hsve smoked a little pot . Like snowboarding especially the powder that is kind of mentally addictive from the first time I realy got a good amount of it I jumped in went down fast loving it it is not really considered adrug it is powder snow! never understood the hatred between punkers and metalheads...... classic metal is basically "forged" out of 70's punk/garage rock and 70's heavy rock..... Black Sabbath and Motorhead are two of Henry's favorite bands, so he's quite a metalhead himself :D:D

    • @itkojecockot

@@klausklebstoff8240 you probably didn't get the "memo" but punkers and metalheads are not really that fond of each other..... or at least it used to be that way back in the day...... punkers thought metal is stealing their "attitude" and metalheads hated punk, cause the music is too primitive...... that was the general fued between the two groups back then...... I'm a metalhead, but I always enjoyed punk...... I don't listen to a lot of classic punk bands, but I love several punk bands who have some more complex elements in their songwriting and sound more interesting than the early scene..... Joy Division, Killing Joke, Coheed And Cambria etc..... from classic punk, it's probably only Misfits, Pistols and Ramones..... that's about it

That gap was bridged around 1986 when a truce was called so to speak and there was a new genre called "Thrash Metal" or "Speed Metal" as it was often called in the early days. Both genres embraced the influence of each other and the bit was full over Mohawks and long hair.

I never understood the animosity between Punk and Metal. Lyrical concerns, haircuts, and musical proficiency differences aside--loud rebellious rock and roll should be appreciated by everyone who likes loud, rebellious rock and roll, regardless of what you call it. I was always dumb and naive enough to believe that if you liked one, you should naturally like the other, and always considered myself in BOTH camps!

@@VagueSpaces Nope. 100% completely wrong. Metal is the antithesis of punk. The problem is the ridiculous change of genres. The fact that no one is punk any longer unless you are the Pistols, the Clash, or the Ramones (which was NEVER punk)is the problem. "Post-punk" is the greatest misunderstanding. The Damned, Banshees, Idol, Killing Joke, the Cure were and are ALL PUNK bands, and will always be so. The Who, Zeppelin, Black Sabbath were NEVER metal. I bitch about this a lot. But just do some research. Read the old 70s and 80s fan magazines. Things will make more sense.
