- Everyone kept raving about Jakarta's new public transportation, so I had to try it out!
I joined my friend @timcophoto and we give our first impressions of the new MRT in Jakarta.
It was so much fun exploring the MRT public transportation system, so I hope you enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed creating it. (WATCH UNTIL THE END TO SEE ME AS A MEME)

MRTs are Less crowded in indonesia. They only travels through the Downtown of the Capital Jakarta.
That’s why the locals prefers Commuter line (KRL) more, since they have more routes.
If you don’t know Indonesian Commuter Line uses Ex-Japanese Metro train.
And for the intercity / long distance train we have USA’s Locomotive (GE Series locomotive.)

Jakarta have 4 phase in the future at least for MRT Line which is more than 100 Km length and could be more if Tangerang build also. MRT will be integrated with LRT, Transjakarta, Commuterline, Airport Railways, etc

@@NikkiNovoselsky Will probably take another decade until the whole network is complete, but during its short time existing so far, MRT Jakarta had been truly a game changer for many commuters.

The line to the west Jakarta already 80% done. It will be open in early 2022.
All public transportations in Jakarta are all with AC facility. The Trans , KRL ( commuter line), MRT & LRT ( soon this year).
You can try to use KRL to Bogor. They have a special carriage for ladies only. So you can feel more safe. Use it not in rush hours.

Krl commuter has many line (450 km) not just to Bogor but outside Jakarta to like Bekasi,Tangerang, Rangkasbitung

Next year, you can try Shinkansen from Jakarta to Bandung.
Not Shinkansen, Chinese fast train.

fyi : MRT (Mass Rapid Trans), LRT (Light Rapid Trans) & KRL (Kereta Rangkaian Listrik)
@@Justineexy you can easily find mass brt in jakarta but for mrt and lrt are just having a few line/stops because it has just build up. Soon the ministry of transportation here are going to plan the art and recently they are doing survey. thanks for asking 😊

You’re not allowed to speak on all modes of public transport in Jakarta during the Covid pandemic. I know you were elated by the novel experience of trying the MRT, but didn’t you hear the announcements made in English on the train?
Yes, I was told to be silent, and since there was no one around I was whispering into my mask and trying to meditate, which is also shown in the video. :)
