Thank you for the insights :) Tomoya (the drummer) is such a fun personality, he is the oldest in the band, by the way and the last one to join the band too. Despite being the oldest, Taka (the singer) regularly "bullies" him jokingly. They have such a great group energy, and they are total idiots together. Toru the guitarist is the most reserved one IRL but he can be a beast on stage. It's a wonder how they are still going so strong despite the fact that Ryota (the bassist) lives in Canada (he married Avril Lavigne's sister) and Taka lives in LA, the other two live in Tokyo. They used to write songs together in the old times, like this one, which was actually released in 2010 and Taka composed it alone. Nowadays Taka usually composes together with his American musician friends, probably that's why you also noticed that change in the structure in newer songs. It used to be just Taka and Toru composing, now it's Taka and a multitude of American musicians. But looks like the band members have no problem with that, so why should we, right? :)

A curiosity. The father of One Ok Rock vocalist Takahiro Moriuchi is called Mori Shinichi. He is a very famous singer in Japanese popular music. In his interviews, he always expresses his pride in his son. Taka, the vocalist of One Ok Rock, has an excellent voice. If you can, watch his cover of an Adele song. Although he is Japanese, he can express himself well in English. One of the most emotional songs of One Ok Rock is a song that celebrates the passage of adolescence ["We Are" (18 fes version) - original] Unfortunately, One Ok Rock's most emotional performance, shown in a studio with an audience, on NHK TV, was blocked for non-subscribers.
