Hi guys, love that you're sharing your learning experience as you go. It's all a learning curve and you're way ahead of many as you're trying to do it right! Well done. With the weights just really review how much you take in clothes, linen etc. Reality is you can wash regularly, don't need excess linen and towels etc and the weight of it adds up quickly. Keep at it, you're going great!
fyi....the new valves on the gas bottles don't release any gas when you open the valve. The new valve is a safety devise that only activates when you screw your gas hose into it.I used to fill up gas bottle at work and since the new valve was introduced id get multiple customers a day coming in thinking their bottle was empty when in fact it was not.Weighing the bottle is the only was to get a gauge of how much gas is left, depending on the bottle its anywhere between 17 to 20 kg. (9kg bottle)when they are full.
With your gas bottles the new type as you have don’t let gas out even when full, they have a check valve in the tap. With your gas sensors ours are on the bottom of the bottles stuck on with a vasoline type of grease and they are spot on.
i was terrified when you got the chisel out i thought you were going to break sometime at any moment and finally someone who's as bad with silicone as me , good job looks great
The cyclinders are not cheap around $300 each bottle, you are charged the same as you would be when you fill up a 9kg bottle. This case we were charged $29 each bottle.
@@thewilsonstakeonoz ye your doing good guys, I don’t think we would be as brave as you to do that to our Snowy 👍but you got there well done Enjoy, stay safe Happy travels 🍻
How can it be 17.5 kg. You weighed the full bottle and gas at 12.5kg and you state the other bottle full is 17.5kg. Makes 10 kg for the two bottles. You have already weighed the bottle in your calculations.
Opening the gas valve won’t release any gas, it’s the new design.
So we have leant, haha !

Hey guys, thank you so much for the kind words and support!
Good work guys. Hope you can get there with the weights.
Thanks guys!
Are you guys coming to the Lake Tabourie meet?
We should be, just need to organise a few last minute things.
Now that you've glued the pelmet to the ceiling with construction adhesive, do you have a plan as to how to wash or replace the curtain?
Great thought, however as per the pinch pleat style curtain we can unclip the pinch pleat and put the curtain through the machine.

do you have compgas bottles?
No the standard ones but all new regulation bottles are the same , gas won’t come out unless they are hooked up properly
thanks for sharing, we didn't know this was a new change to gas bottles!
Hi guys no more gaps is not good for glueing. You need sikaflex
Thanks for the tip, we might add some sikaflex to it!

I’d take out the very heavy glass shower door and use a lightweight shower curtain ! Not like ya shower everyday 😳😳
For us glass door will stay, we do shower daily!
@@thewilsonstakeonoz But the weight saving 40kg at least

Like we said we are just rookies giving it a crack, thanks for this comment we are keen to review over the weigh bridge at the end and go from there!
We have the gas-level reader and have never liked it.
have to agree!
