the boat drive should included in the ticket to attract more people to buy the attraction ticket, just waste of money to paid another 50% for the few minute boat drive.
Be careful of add ons when your inside like chang mai zoo the extras if you want to do this and that like the pandas in chaing mai zoo is expensive to see apparently to go on the boat or under the water is extra this is one of the most expensive attractions around

Very beautiful, it is the largest aquarium in South East Asia.
Actually the one in Singapore is larger now :-)
