Hi Vanessa, some years ago when I used to travel frequently to Ghana, I used to eavesdrop in the plane, on conversations of people, mostly whites returning to the US after their first trip to Ghana. The overwhelming sense I get from them was how that was the first time they were able to slow down and connect with themselves and people around them. Life in Europe and America is a treadmill of work, work, work, pay taxes, tolls, fees out of your earnings with nothing left to save. One must keep working just to keep from sinking. In the US, many people live paycheck to paycheck, even though working two to three jobs. Many have not been able to pay their rent since April 1 due to job loss from COVID-19 and are now at risk of being homeless with their children through eviction. I understand perfectly why many people in the West are escaping the rat race to go find some peace, leisure and meaning in Africa. Keep doing the good work in showcasing Ghana, where people from the West can come to catch their breath and find some sanity.

A rat race perfectly describes America and people are quickly falling between the huge cracks. A few days ago my boyfriend told me he was exhausted from working so much. The look of sadness and despair in his eyes almost brought tears to mine. Life was never meant to be lived this way.

People are moving to Africa because it’s home. My ancestors didn’t ask to be taken away in chains ⛓. To wake up and realize we have a choice is refreshing. I’ve always loved The Continent and hope to see Her again. When we can travel and get documents here in the US.

Respect to you! It is a great pleasure to see how the Ghanaians return to their roots! Africa is a large continent and Ghana is one of the most beautiful pearls on this large continent. Your Motherland is worthy of love! Appreciate she, hold she and decorate she with love,
    you who are his children!

I actually filmed this interview a year and a half ago!!! But most of the footage wasn’t opening so I held out to see if I could get it fixed. I never did but still wanted to upload the interview. I had footage around the shop & me looking at the products.

@@ffk9660 its still important academic work, languages are recorded, tribes and cultures are archived. History written down. In terms of archeology Germany has played a very important role recently in Sudan and Egypt. In terms of black history these discoveries are invaluable. If africans could compete on that academic level it would be great but sadly its not the case.
