    Comparing Sachin Tendulkar with Virat Kohli in a dismissive or derogatory manner is unfair and doesn't do justice to either player's achievements. Here are a few reasons why such comparisons can be seen as problematic:
    1. Different Eras: Sachin played in an era with different cricketing conditions, rules, and challenges. The technology and data analytics available to modern players like Kohli were not accessible to players like Sachin during his prime. This makes a direct comparison based solely on statistics difficult.
    2. Bowling Quality: Sachin faced legendary bowlers like Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath, and many others who were at the peak of their careers. These bowlers posed immense challenges with their skills and experience.
    3. Technological Advancements: Modern players like Kohli have access to advanced training techniques, equipment, and sports science that were not available in Sachin's time. This can influence factors like fitness, recovery, and performance analysis.
    4. Playing Conditions: Pitch conditions, rules regarding bouncers and field restrictions, and even the quality of cricket balls have changed over time. These factors can significantly impact a player's style of play and overall performance.
    5. **Respect for Legends:** Both Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli have their own unique strengths and contributions to cricket. Rather than comparing them in a negative light, it's more respectful to appreciate their talents and the impact they've had on the game.
    while it's natural for fans to discuss and appreciate their favorite players, making derogatory or dismissive comparisons without considering the contextual differences and challenges faced by players in that era thus such comparision is unfair and disrespectful.

    Two mistakes: 1. Virat has overtaken Sachin in the most no: of ODI centuries. 2. India did not lose the test match when he scored his first test century. Actually Sachin’s innings of 119 helped them to draw the test match.

    • @sangeethc
      @sangeethc 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Sachin would have made more centuries if he was batting in current batting conditions of Kohli. Powerplays, more test matches and less odi's, umpire's wrong decisions that too at 90's, balling attack he faced like Akram, Younis, Lee, McGrath, vaas, pollard, pollock and much more world class bowlers.

    • @Govindaclass
      @Govindaclass 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @@sangeethc Maybe, maybe not. Can’t say for sure. He did get out an awful lot of times in the 90s which was more often than not his own undoing. And the fielding today is far superior to that of the times he played in. He may have scored more if he played today but that is not necessarily depend just on the bowling quality. There is also an overall more positive approach to batting today. During the 90s batsmen were still criticised if they played too many aerial shots or took any risky chances. This made batsmen over cautious. Since the advent of 20/20, batsmen have complete licence to really go for it in all formats making them fearless. Then there many who make the DRS case but there are several times it would have gone against him. So can’t say for certain if he would have scored many more centuries but one thing is certain; Sachin would have won many more tight matches for India with the current Indian team👍

    • @Govindaclass
      @Govindaclass 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@sangeethc TBH, I don’t think that made too much of a difference. But the change in fielding quality is a huge difference, both ground fielding and catching. If you see old clips, so many of the boundaries could have been stopped with a simple dive or slide, instead they just gave up too easily(probably thought ‘not worth ruining my jersey😂) Most of those boundaries would be just 2 runs today. Then there is the incredible catching over the boundary line today. Upto a decade or so ago, no one even attempted those sort of catches and they would watch the ball go just over their heads for six. Today, not only are batsmen denied a six but their innings could be cruelly cut short by some incredible acrobatic and intelligent fielding on the boundary line. Batsmen may have some favourable stuff going their way today but it’s certainly no cakewalk.

    • @sangeethc
      @sangeethc 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Govindaclass that doesn't matter about the fielder saving 2 or 4 in boundaries. But you still have exception catches in the past at boundary lines. Now due to introduction of IPL players have more stamina and piece of mind to attempt those catches. But sachin had got out 28 times in 90's and 51 times in 80's out which he got out 19 times out in 90's due to poor umpire decision!!

    Not many know why even contemporary cricketers worshipped sachin while growing up.
    India as a nation was in great crisis in 89-91 It was economic crisis, its would be prime minister assassinated, Kashmir insurgency Sikh militant. India doubted itself after independence whether it would survive.
    And comes Sachin like pale or maradona for Argentina, he takes off focus of all negative things of a generation and fixes their eyes firmly focused on what would be a relief after hard days work.
    And the not only he exemplifies batting but also wins games single-handedly for India.
    Not only would he piles up runs at tremendous pace but also gives a tremendous start and sets the game for India.
    Indians see a ray of hope that Indians get be as good as others and can give as better than others.
    While nearly half of the team was involved in betting, leading the team by captain Azharduddin(what a thankless person) , he wins the games despite the game being fixed!!
    It is also a time when pace attack of opposition teams peaked while Indian pace attack at best was modest.
    It was also a time of technology where bowlers get to see every mechanical movement of batsmen to discover any loophole in their batting technique.
    It was also a time when sledging episodes peaks with Australia leading it.
    Cricket pitches have not turned into batting paradises now yet.
    Injuries & controversies wouldn’t affect his focus while he also plays as successful pastime bowler.
    Sachin is not just a batsmen but an emotional of a rising civilization called India.

    The brilliance of Sachin lies in the fact that he performed consistently, over two decades, before DRS, against some of the best bowling attacks ever. Did other players have better peaks than him? Maybe, but as an overall career he is hard to match. Yes, he couldn't make a mark in the finals, but we can say that it is a common characteristic for most great players to get pressurized, especially when you have an audience of more than a billion people. Sachin Tendulkar is in his own league... No one can do what he did with what he had.
    After the first bowl faced he was absolutely dangerous..
    As an Indian I would like to mention Brian Lara as someone who was equally distructive maybe a bit more.
    What Sachin did was simply marvelous.. he played traditional copy book shots to really good bowlers bowling at their best. And he had the option of hitting that same good ball to 4 different corners of the ground.
    He alone would sometimes un hinge the best bowling line ups. Everyone who has seen him play including opponents say that we hope he would get out.
    He could dominate at will and sometimes he just cautiously did not. And then the opposite team have it with Sachin. He made them change the field to his liking.
    And whoever sledged Sachin had a very bad day.. he has perfect English but he spoke only with the bat.
    If you see Sachin playing a straight drive or a copy book cover drive, everyone knew they're facing the best playing batsman at his best. The numbers stand testimony.
    On field brutal, off field a best friend.. absolutely humble..
    Generations started playing cricket because of him and those who made it to the Indian team 80% were done with their great careers before Sachin Tendulkar retired. That's Sachin. The only batsman who got standing ovations across the world by just walking out to play.. everyone else got it when they played well or hit a century.

    The greatness of Sachin can be understood by the fact that he was compared to every other batsman, who was in their peak time during their career. Starting from great Don Bradman, David Boon, Steve Waugh, Mark Waugh, Lara, Injamam, Kallis, Jayasurya, Dravid, Ganguly, and even today Kohli. He is being compared to the cricketers beyond his era. He is being labeled as a rival to all great bowlers Akhtar, Steyn, McGrath, Vaas, and Warne.

If you were around when he played he literally carried the Indian team through the bad times and still delivered in the good times. I don't care what anyone says but Sachin is a legend most probably the best batsman I've ever seen, if another batsman comes along fair enough. Virat is a 2nd close with Brian Lara and a few others but I'm talking of classy batsmen and for me personally Sachin just inches out virat kholi not because of personal bias, but before India became a cricket super power this guy carried India on his shoulders.

This incident though was an eye opener and a trend setter as BCCI had threatened to walk out of this series, from here on BCCI just grew and grew in power and today it has grown into a monster which maybe dangerous for the game. It was disheartening to see such a great batsman born when no one in his team was able to give him support. That’s why so many centuries in lost cause.😢 Moreover, he was the biggest victim of a Bad Bad Bad Umpiring. Forget Steve Bucknor even Simon Tauffel gave wrong decisions against him on one or two occasions.

    one question who is real fast bowler after 2014....brett lee, shoaib akhtar, allan dolland, ambrose, wasim akram, waqar younis, mcgrath, chaminda vas, pollock, walsh, shane bond, many along with shane warne, mulitharan, saqlain mustaq....they all played against sachin...not virat....that speaks more on performance and average. i have never see any bowler above 155km/hr. all are trying bowling slower and slower these days. all fast bowler nowadays are turning wrist and palm. sad...never compare. both are gems in their own era. sachin is superior than virat. no doubt about that. one more point... now cricket is more favouring batsman more...slow balls.....lesser ground size...drs....sachin era had proper cricket matches

  • @arch391

    Virat is not playing against the best bowling line up teams and fielders. Virat has a good 3rd position to take time and bat with a less used ball. In Sachin times rules wete different, he was given unfair Out many times. Also they used to play with the same ball in both innings. There are lots of other unfair advantage Kohli had from playing on different pitches which support Indians a lot. In old times India was not a big thing.
