The R-50 produced decent enough groups out of my Anshutz’s but really had great results out of my wife’s Bergara B 14R. ( she likely just outshot me 😊) Interesting enough, the results were totally reversed when we switched to the R-100. This ammunition is pricey here in Canada also and not easy to find. When it comes to us 22LR shooters, wind can be our nemesis.
I really love that happy smile when you shot at the brass and the cards and you hit them :D This joy is why we jump through all the regulative hoops and keep on doing this sport, I guess :) Imagine how cool this video would be if you had highspeed cameras in the scope and next to the target... Now that the chrono is working again you know what is next on the list :D
Very nice. Any time you can get below 1/2 inch at 50 yards, even in windless conditions, you're shooting well and your rifle is shooting well. Of course, you can spend tons of money on glass and barrels and triggers and rests (etc. etc. etc.) and maybe shrink that by 0.2 inches, but some of us enjoy sporter-weight rifles because they serve many purposes for us.
One of my favorites is rws subsonic hp in an old 22. It shoots well. I see horizontal dispersion but not much vertical. The gun seems pretty happy with the ammo.
Nice shooting, Viking especially in the wind. I'd like to see how well you can do on a calm day with these. I just checked the price here in Australia $404 a brick of 500. A bit expensive for me, i just brought 2 cases of Eley Standard fo $ 1490 for 10,000. It's excellent for pistols.😊
As it stands in my rifles. RWS professional, has been proven to shoot the most accurate on a day to day basis. I personally believe Lapua midas+ would be the best available in the world, but at sixty cents, each, to expensive for anything, but competition use.. I have tried many different types of match ammunition.. I have not been able to even get ,RWS R-50 to test. So i have not been able to test Lapua Midas+ vs RWS R50 , to settle the debate between the two..
My previous Tikka wasn’t particularly fond of RWS ammo, but the one I have now seems to like it. I have the entire RWS range that I plan to test over the summer and fall. It will be interesting to see the results. But as you said, the prices are outrageously high. It’s not cheap to do so much testing…
KUDOs to your camera operator. She's (?) doing a great job. Splitting cards-- I'm going to have a try at that. My brother-in-law thinks we're good lighting stick matches. Splitting a card would really make him smile. Thanks for the inspiration. God bless.
Those are some good groups. I have had great results with R-50 & Norma Subsonic out of everything I have run them through so far. I Want to try R-100 through my longer range ones, maby this fall
You get what you pay for and R50 always delivers for me too While I might have better groups with Lapua, R50 and R100 are more consistent. Excellent shooting and fun to see your reaction! We all would have that big smile after those results!
RWS is NOT cheap, but it`s well made. I find it hard to find full stock of any manufacturer these days. Usually theres only a few variants at any given time.
Just got lucky and found your channel and 'of course' i subscribed, looking at the price here in France for a box they are asking 25 Euros !! What the hell i will go and pick up a box next week to see how they work in my CZ455. Thanks for the videos........tusen takk
Bonjour mon amis! That is pretty much what we pay here too. It`s insane that a .22lr cost as much as a centerfire, but that is the case. Do buy one and try! Bonne chance!
The GRS Bifrost is on the list for my Tikka as well, so can't afford the RWS R50 ammo. Hehe! What chrono did you use before and what chrono are you going for next? Maybe contact Garmin and ask them if they can send you one to test out and keep. Would be good advertisment for them having their chrono on your channel.
Bifrost is a great choice! Being left handed narrows it down for me, unfortunately. I would very much like the Garmin for my next chrono. As for now I`m using a ProChrono. I got it started again.
Recently shot some but was a little disapointed that it wasn't any better than RWS Rifle but there is a bonus in that situation that the difference in price here is that its less than $20 a box for Target Refle as opposed to $40 for the R50. It performed very well for you but would love to see how well it performed at 100m and also in calm conditions.
I Shoot RWS out of all my CZs. Typically Target Rifle (70%) and Rifle Match (25%) and then dabble with R50 (5%). Oddly enough I find Target Rifle to shoot the best...go figure
My former Tikka didn't like RWS much, but this one seems to print nice groups with it. I believe I have the whole range of RWS in the ammo closet, and will be testing them all.
Nick from Alaska. I enjoy watching your videos. Can you get blazer 22lr? It is my favorite and I can get one hole groups with it our of my 10/22 with a 16.5" fluted green mountain barrel! Give it a try if you can. Cheap also!
Hi! You live in a beautiful state! I understand that there are quite a few people with Norwegian heritage living there. At least if you make a living from fishing. I'll be doing a test with the Blazer. I have a package lying around. I originally planned to test it at long range (budget long range), but I’m also happy to do a 50-yard test.
I have a spare (older) Chrony F1 I am willing to donate to your channel if it helps until you've replenished your chrono fund. Replaced it with a Garmin this year. It's served me well but I no longer need it.
Thanks!
Thank you for the support!
Thank you for the support!
I would love to try this ammunition but haven't been able to find any in the 7 months I have been looking 😢
Nice shootin as always 👍
Nice video. Excellent marksmanship.
Thank you! I`ll be testing them on a calm day and see if they perform even better.
The R-50 produced decent enough groups out of my Anshutz’s but really had great results out of my wife’s Bergara B 14R. Maybe I should test it in my Bergara also? Yes, wind is my enemy number 1. I never seem to master correcting for it.

I love reactive targets. It makes it much more fun!
Very nice. Any time you can get below 1/2 inch at 50 yards, even in windless conditions, you're shooting well and your rifle is shooting well. Yes, I totally agree

I have some boxes of that ammo. I might bring it on the range next time.
The Germans, must be keeping them for themselves, because I have never been able to get any ,R-50 or R100 to test.

Ammo, especially good ammo, has become way to expensive. I also like the Eley Standard, and the price is more tolerable.

Thank you! And by the way, The camera operator is a tripod. I`m alone on the range
That surely is good ammo. I hope that we will get to see it in action without the wind. Thanks for the video.
Yes, I`ll do more testing with these for sure!
The fact that you hit the cards at all says a great deal!😮❤❤❤
Splitting cards is fun😊
Those are some good groups. I have had great results with R-50 & Norma Subsonic out of everything I have run them through so far. I Want to try R-100 through my longer range ones, maby this fall
Hit it but didn't split it....still impressive!
The cards was at a slight angle I guess😊
You get what you pay for and R50 always delivers for me too
While I might have better groups with Lapua, R50 and R100 are more consistent.
Excellent shooting and fun to see your reaction! We all would have that big smile after those results!
I have both R100 and the full lineup of Lapua at home. I'll be testing them all.
RWS 50 and 100 are my favorite ammo when I can find it.
I have the R100, and just waiting for a calm day to test it. They are the most expensive ammo I have ever bought.
Love the GRS/Tikka combo. I have the same and shot it today too.
It`s a great combo, and I`m very happy with it.
It works really good in my guns. Can't find it consistently nowadays. I like the ammo MUCH better than price!
RWS is NOT cheap, but it`s well made. I find it hard to find full stock of any manufacturer these days. Usually theres only a few variants at any given time.
Very nice!
(Waiting for Borat-suit footage💪🏻 )
I don't think me in a Borat costume is something you could ever forget😆

Just commenting to support :)
Thank you!
those were good groups in the wind
Yes, considering the conditions I`m quite happy with the result.
First time here
That is a beautiful stock, who manufacturers the stock?
❤❤❤
Welcome😊
Kigger med fra Danmark, er selv venstre og har en i et mdt skæfte.
Tikka for life😊
Hei! Morsomt at noen danske vikinger ser på også! Ja, Tikka er gode saker, det er sikkert og visst😃
The GRS Bifrost is on the list for my Tikka as well, so can't afford the RWS R50 ammo. Hehe!

I will test it more, thats for sure. To bad it is so expensive 😔
My Vudoo loves R50 just can't seem to find any available these past 9 months...
A lot of ammo has become hard to find. The more expensive stuff seems to be a little easier, at leat where I`m located.
I get great results with R100 at 50 and 100 meters in my CZ457 with a lilja 21 inch match barrel and timmney trigger.
That sound like a great combination!
I Shoot RWS out of all my CZs. Typically Target Rifle (70%) and Rifle Match (25%) and then dabble with R50 (5%). Oddly enough I find Target Rifle to shoot the best...go figure

Still can’t get my hands on any of this all I have access too locally is SK and Lapua.
Lapua is a good alternative. I hope you can get hold of some RWS eventually.
Do you have a link for donations? Would like to send you a little towards getting a new chronograph. You might want to look at the new Garmin..
Hi! You can donate through superthanks here on youtube. But I got my older one working again, so future videos will have velocities😀
Normal see a SD 5/6.5 region but did you know you can get R 50 with different speeds 335/1100 my rifles favourite
Great shooting in that wind
Yes, the importer here in Norway stock them in different lots. I wasn`t aware that they had a selection of velocities. To bad they are so expensive.
Comment for the algorithm.
Thank you!
Are they available in America?
I suppose so🤔. But I have heard from several others that they are hard to find.
Not able to access super thanks. Don’t you have a PayPal account?
I do have one, but I can"t access it at the moment. But the old chrono is working again.
I have a spare (older) Chrony F1 I am willing to donate to your channel if it helps until you've replenished your chrono fund. Replaced it with a Garmin this year. It's served me well but I no longer need it.
That is very kind of you, but I got the old one functioning again. Again, thank you for offering to help me.
LOL @ A little cocky.
😆We do have to have some fun!
Bfa skyting ja.....
