Seriously, though, this is a Rifftrax classic. Perfect movie for riffing, and their Riff of it is hilarious. Its on my list of must watch Rifftrax episodes.
This is so cool for the people that haven't seen this yet.
The opening is one of their best
Pod People was one of my all time favorite MST3K episodes. Watching a Rifftrax of the movie used in PP's opening credits, now the circle is complete and my life fulfilled.

This movie has some serious 'Giant Spider Invasion' energy to it.
Well, both do revolve around a repulsive, abusive hillbilly finding a dangerous meteor and inadvertantly causing havoc with it. Although this one has a distinct lack of VAAAAAANCE!!!, so that's a rather large deduction on its part.

This channel is THE SUPERIOR ENTERTAINMENT way beyond all channels with a million plus subscribers. None come close to this level. I don't know what to make of that.

Yeah, first time I went to see a movie in theaters since 2017. And I was alone too which made it more relaxing. Such a well done riff!

The most frightening thing about this movie is that I escaped from country like that! Whenever I feel anything like false nostalgia for the place, I’ll just play this movie!

It started about 40 years ago for me, when Elvira, The Mistress of the Dark, would riff on horror movies on one of the 5 TV stations we had. I will admit that I came for the boobs but stayed for the bizarre movies and hilarious comedy. Ever since then, I've been unable to not make fun of movies while watching them, that's why I get told to shut up!
Proud to say I actually have the Rifftrax DVD of this! God, this movie is a tough sit...
Haha there's a reason RLM joked about this movie being too dull for best of the worst, especially since it's identical to all his other movies

… they make it an amazing experience. And yet… I find it slightly atrocious that they don’t make one mention that THIS was the movie that Pod People plays clips from in the opening credits… … I guess only obsessive mst3k nerds would notice that 😅
This movie seems hellbent on fulfilling every stereotype about rural folk, and it does a pretty good job.
I just want to say that the abusive gun-happy father's actor did a pretty good job playing the role. Most of the cast was wooden enough to make a table, but this guy did a good job I think.
Y’know, I agree with you that the dad-character actor is making a good go of it.
The crazy prospector laugh is what sold me.

Not 5 minutes after Bill makes that crack about Don Dohler's name in the opening credits, I realize this film will likely have actors that were also in Alien Factor (another Dohler film that Cinematic Titanic featured)...and first one I recognize (as young Moustache Dad from Twilight) is Mayor Plaid Pants.
the "drive to Wisconsin for fireworks" joke is such a treat. I defiantly remember that from Michigan. The saddest thing I ever saw, was the fireworks stand on the Michigan side of the border, 1 mile away, the big stuff in Wisconsin.... what was that stand on the Michigan side doing? Oh yeah, selling to this guy. Ahh I love the midwest jokes.

Thank you guys once again. I continue to find solace in your movies since I was a kid way back in the late 1980s during tough times as l am in one right now once again. Your jokes have continued to bring me much joy. If you ever feel like what you do doesn’t really matter, know that there are probably more people like me who you helped who just needed to take a break from their frustrating circumstances. It really means a lot. I honestly hope to meet you guys one day, and shake your hands and just say thank you.

at one time my wife and I bought several of those multi movies on DVD. this movie appeared on almost all of them.

Man, this is so much like an Ed Wood movie. The writing, the acting style, the pace and setting. This is just like Bride of the Atom or Plan 9 From Outer Space.

Well, it is full length feature and it has characters. It seems the actors didn't run away in the middle of the shoot.
I’m pretty sure the only reason they riffed this one is because of 1:15:24- 1:15:30. Also what top notch Oscar worthy editing. Totally forgot that part was filmed twice from two different angles.

I'm a little sad that this didn't turn out to be that alternate movie title for Pod People, but it looks just as dull and dreary so I'm excited to see it. 😁
Aaaw, a true classic by wood walking expert Don "good enough" Dohler. The answer to the age old question :" Why try to make a good movie, when you can make a cheap bad one"
This movie is proof that aliens want nothing to do with us.
You know what's funny, thanks to Dohler here, I actually thought of a cool Sci-fi horror movie that has a similar plot to all of his movies. In short, the idea is an Alien comes down to earth and arrives in a rural area, then shit gets real when it starts killing people. Though, I believe the difference would be it has a unique alien design and copious amounts of gore and violence.
Absolutely one of my top ten riffs!
With all due respect to whatever iteration of MST3K is currently running, I have to be honest:
When I hear Kevin Murphy and Billy Corbett riffing on RiffTrax, I picture Tom Servo and Crow. Mike Nelson brings the whole experience home. Plus, your jokes and satirical broadsides are better and more on target.
Without you three, MST3K is simply outlcassed.
Besides, I love hearing Tom and Crow swearing.

OMG! I've been searching for almost 40 years looking for this. I was in a frat house and almost every weekend we would rent this movie and get drunk and laugh all through it! Worst Movie Ever Made! FRom the sheriff drooling on himself to the rubber feet of the alien flopping during a chase. Thank you for posting!!!
