    If he was messing with deputies like that, does anyone actually believe he wasnt doing similar or worse things to inmates? That's probably why he didn't want to do the 30 days.

      EXACTLY. He would rather lose his ability to have a solid career in life than face the consequences of his actions and “lose face” by going to the same jail he terrorized for even 30 days. This dude is a bully. He’s always been a bully. And I guarantee his wife is going to bear the brunt of his frustrations over the next 5 to 10 years, she better think twice about walking down that aisle. 🤷🏽‍♀️

      I'm gonna leave my original thought down there to shame me. After watching that testimony again this guy likely did things. Maybe not violence but you can do much worse with a pen.
      And if your curious a select few lts and CPTs we're doing this also. He'd drop a dime on a regular officer. He can get a job as a cop with a reference from someone higher up regardless of this conviction.
      I do. Mainly because this is typical of training. This guy's a dirt bag and the trainers I had were dirt bags aaaanndd if they could get away with it they would. It's a lot harder to get away with that than most people think. It most definitely happens just not as often as most people think.

Now your life is going to be extremely hard regarding finances and if your renting it can affect you as well. Idk the law for Texas so idk if he can get a conviction expunged after certain amount of years but it’s expensive and you have to not incurred any new charges / convictions in order for that . I hope he’s not going to be the type of dad that raises his son to bully everyone and be rough with him. He is 24 so there’s a slightly small chance he could mature and be ok but , I wouldn’t hold my breath.

    • @KaiserSoze679
      @KaiserSoze679 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      To be fair, there's lots of reasons to take that choice other than cowardice. As he said, he's the sole money-maker supporting a family. Losing that for 30 days means not only do they have no income for a month, it likely means losing a job, getting significantly behind on rent and bills, etc. and thus pretty long-term financial problems for not just him but his fiancee and children. Whereas by losing his license, assuming he plans to work in an industry where the convinction isn't likely to be a problem, that might not pose all that big an issue.
      There's also the fact that people who worked in law enforcement type settings (and as a former guard he'd likely be known pretty widely) tend to be active targets in jail settings.
      Hell, the fact that the judge even gave him the choice (which is very unusual) to me suggests that she knows it's not so easy a decision.... so no, I don't think it's necessarily a matter of cowardice.
      And don't get me wrong I'm not defending what he did, the guy is a miserable piece of shit and I don't think she should have given him the choice. He should have had to do the jail time AND take the conviction. I'm just saying the assumption you made isn't necessarily accurate.

      Many cops were bullies in school. My bully went on to become a captain in our local police department. He just retired with hundreds of accolades saying what a wonderful cop he was. He made my life a living hell during high school. I'm a female, he's a male. Even though I'm in my 50's now, I have never forgotten what he did to me.

      @Equine-services 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +14

      @@Whyarewehere53 I would estimate that 95% of Cops were either bullies, or the ones who were small, felt unnoticed, or were bullied. Im just a few inches smaller than this guy, and a little more fit. Basically the same size in school.... every single cop i know either got in a fight with me for being my typical smart ass self, or was just a meek person that has never been punched in the face. The guys that fought I know for a fact are on juice now (there were 3, and those were the only fights i ever had in school). One has a wife that its an open secret he smacks around (not often, but that doesn't matter). The other two are guys I'm cool with, but they really shouldn't be officers. The good officers are on this line of being maybe a little more kind than i was, but still not scared to go throw paws it comes to it. I think the smaller guys are even more dangerous than the bullies..... They're just scared to death. Maybe even more scared of just not winning an altercation, and catching grief because of it. That shouldn't be the case.

    Bad Correctional Officers always trigger me. My ex was a C.O. He took his anger & frustration from the job home & I was the release….that was until he beat me so badly that he dislocated both of my shoulders, 1 elbow & both knees, lacerated my liver & right kidney, fractured my jaw, broke several teeth, caused my eye to swell shut & left me with more cuts & bruises than anyone could count. But the worst part was that the trauma caused me to go into premature labor at 21 weeks 5 days pregnant, resulting in our daughter taking a single breath after birth before passing away. He said I fell down the stairs & even though I wanted justice, the police & district attorney declined to move forward, mainly because he 1) was a member of law enforcement (they literally told me so) & 2) because we met online & our relationship moved quickly so I was labeled as promiscuous & therefore not reliable.
    Now, I am NOT saying I hate law enforcement. I just hate the ones who think their position makes them better than any other civilian. I also think that the “professional courtesy” of backing up cops who break the law, no matter how wrong it is, needs to go away! The longer everyone turns a blind eye to those abusing their power, the longer the system stays broken. If you create, amend, uphold, enforce or protect the law, in any capacity, then you should know the law & if you break it, you should be treated more harshly & with aggravated enhancements. Criminals have more rights than innocent citizens which is absolutely insane, frustrating & sad!!!

      Maybe 25 years is a lot to some, and to some others,....it's not about the time, it's about the time it takes for your heart to get through this. I truly believe that it isn't up to another person to decide how much time it takes or doesn't take for someone to deal with their trauma. That doesn't belong to anyone else but the person that is going through a situation that disrupt's a life , such as your situation.

      @@rex8255 With a felony on his record, he won't pass a background check, nor can he obtain a CCW, alone or in conjunction with a security certification. There might be a security company out there that would hire him for a non-armed position but I'd be surprised--most security companies are fairly careful about hiring--most anyway. I guess there's probably shady ones, but no legitimate professional company would hire him with a felony on his record. I agree, he really cut himself off at the knees with that decision

As mom used to tell us as kids, "Just because your friends tell you to do something doesn't mean you should do it!" So because someone did something mean to you, you should turn around and do it to someone else? Really?? He enjoyed being a bully! Plain and simple! So send him to jail so he learns what it's like when you can't even eat without permission! He needs to experience life without freedom to make your own decisions!! You want to be a bully? Let's see you deal with someone who is going to bully you!!
