Hopefully you haven't discontinued your videos because I find it fills a much to empty area of nerd based educational air rifle test channels. I was commenting on a video but didn't realize til the end that it was a 1+ year old episode. And I therefore though I should move the comment to the latest video to increase the chances of you seeing it because of it's positively encouraging nature. But still this is still 7 months to early. Hopefully you're just taking a nice long vacation!
A very late Reply to 7 oct 2021 episode "PART II...What's deadlier, a .25 or .30 caliber airgun?"
Likely much less density as well in comparison with a living animal limb saturated with blood which probably affects everything from bullet deformation, penetration dept and hydrostatic shock effects. It doesn't matter in this test though, just one important factor ( I think) that are often not considered. But I though it would be worth to mention this time since those are the kind of things that we nerds appreciate. :D Perhaps even worth trying out considering hydrostatic shock was mention at the end. Personally I do think it has an affect already at lower velocities. But I'm only basing it on comparisons I made as a child so I didn't have the discipline to care, and neither a variety of rifles and calibers to really test anything out, especially since I live in Sweden a country not really known for it's weapons other than Bofors, but I don't think they would have accepted me as a customer even if I had the funds, range and not least aback stop to handle it. I did it by shooting at empty soda cans filled with water and measuring the shock effects based on the difference the higher velocities flakes up long cracks in the aluminium going outwards from the bullet hole. Of course the fact that the cans contains 100% water probably greatly magnifies the effect but it makes it much easier to measure differences even in small increments for testing a wide range of velocities. There are a lot of interesting tests likes this to experiment with and hope they keep coming! Great stuff and fun to watch! Nice work professor!
Edit: I don't know what I was thinking and completely forgot about FX Airguns lol. However anything above 10 Joules which is less than 7.5 ft/lbs of energy requires a license
