It’s frustrating at the start to have someone correct everything you do but changy is looking after you and that repetition will serve you well. I remember on my first days where I’d lay 2 bricks and the brickys had laid 20 but over time it will become second nature like waking up in the morning and brushing your teeth you won’t even have to think you can zone out. The harder you work the easier it will be in future that’s how I saw it.
At the end of the day young nephew did alright changy getting him straight trowel the only way to learn back in the day 20 years ago totally different when i leant the trade full 1st year in full time in college 90 pound a week then 2nd year on site we all no wat that was like going on site for first time very daughting then 3rd year but am sure you will teach him the proper well mate 🧱👌
The young lad is lost he needs to be taught the fundamentals of bricklaying trowel skills how to hold a brick working to his hand and not against it his stance how to apply a joint spreading a bed when pushing brick to line to move his hand grip from face of brick to the top then maybe he’d have a chance
