Gatekeeper is a hard counter to a good strategy, that most people don’t use because it’s harder than a strategy that’s at least equally good but easier. At least in Aether raids.

I foddered my Brave Gatekeeper (I free summoned him too) because I realized he literally has no stats. Recently I realized that he is getting a refine and I regret everything.
Besides the usual +4 or +8 they'll give him, increase his in combat debuffs and maybe increase the atk/spd allies get to 8(?), all I'm asking for is an auto follow-up, true dr based on def, and canto control or that buff medeus gives to null chip dmg(really reaching there), that's all I want for his refine.
Auto-follow-up is useless. Please IS don't give him that. NFU is quite literally everywhere. True Defense/DR is enough for his personal combat. The idea I keep tossing around for a GK refine is simply making him a pathfinder counter. By disabling pathfinder effects from foes within 5 spaces. It's still the only effect without a single true counter, and what better unit to counter it than the Gatekeeper himself. No longer will they find a path, now they have to go through the gates.
But honestly now my +10 gigachad Gatie survived an AVERSA with only 2 hp. AN AVERSA I am praying to Zeus for an amazing refine cause he has bar nothing to compete against anyone
I won in summoner duel befor 2 days ago a fallen female byleth who was +7 with my fallen dimitri who is only +1 and its so weird since in the quest this byleth act like untouchable but its actually not
Gatekeeper is bad. Outside of his super obstruct, he is terrible. Even super obstruct is highly overrated. Canto control is good, but that could go to any support unit. Genuinely curious how they'll try to salvage this dumpster fire of a unit come September. I hope it's not good though. This stupid meme needs to stay dead.
